  • The heading roughly translates as a " a desire for freedom" . Whatever the fuck that means???
  • I think the title says "An Atrecious desire of freedom"
And then underneath: " After years, the purity of the kings of Seattle still warms the heart"
Not sure about kings = reginetti

    Sorry my italian is limited.

    Where is that from?

The kings of seattle will blow you mind from the begining to the end of this record... PLus they'll kick ass in Seattle like never before, with the longest and most rocking concert of their career.

    Why not (V) (°,,,,°) (V) ?
  • here's a babelfish translation of the whole article. It's a mess, with quite a bit of nonsense, but you can get the gist of most of it. Don't know if this is helpful at all, hahahaha:

"For cuanto if they the awards praise of it, this is not the disk of the year. And it is not not even stuff ever heard first. But if it stopped you here, you would blunder.

It has been how to do to escape the right woman because to the first appointment did not put the heels: well, beyond the surface, clean Backspacer. Urla of life. It overflows of energy like pits the debut of a twenty-year-old. And, instead, it is the ninth album of a band multimiliardaria. Of a group that it could live doing if same in all the sauces. An attitude very much lontanno from Eddie Vedder and companions, people that spent the years 90 <ad allontanare la propria fama> Between causes to Ticketmaster, you bicker with the untouchable Kurt Cobain, devotion reserved to the fan and not to the media (like during the Vs. Tour) and you repudiate categorical of the videoclip: after the thoughtful laurels from Jeremy, Jeff Ament fece to know of not to want that the actual music was remembered for some attractive image.

In the well and in the badly, the Pearl Jam always have done the actual business. The result is that to listen to Backspacer is how to discover itself still enchanted some right woman to much years from that first appointment. And already the morning, when with Gonna See My Friend is inaugurated a growing emotional imposing. From that spark, Backspacer explodes its office, gives outlet to a longing of insuppressible freedom. For impetus and for the instinctive capacity of to make motive the head (like in the single The Fixer, or in Force of Natures, whereas the Jam pass from the dear Who to inspirations brit punk of fine 70s), Vedder and partners are between the little approachable to the Stones. Only with Paul Young in the heart to the place of the Swinging London (Just Breathe testifies it). Here because, to the face of the habits postmodernisti of to retrace roads passed without to go nowhere, the Pearl Jam yell to be a band years 70.

In the essence. Their song are simple, ooze rock without frills to base of guitars, battery and voice (God, that voice!). To do the difference I respect to the i(n)di(e)oti with the just look and to the philologists without memory, is the requirement of to say still something and the luck of to have (still) something say. Difficult to establish if the secret is in a compositional purity fished for from a period for ingenuous a lot of verse (that of the Zep, of Point zero and of Dennis Hopper in Harley), or in the profound melancholy always present in the modulations vedderiane (impossible not to perceive in Unthought Known the wastes of an ancient pain, of a last rage). It remains a fact: It will be not the squinzia of the year, but with this woman will last at long. Eye."

We need a go to list of people on here with different languages. Those internet ones just don't cut it.
"I'd rather be with an animal." "Those that can be trusted can change their mind." "The in between is mine." "If I don't lose control, explore and not explode, a preternatural other plane with the power to maintain." "Yeh this is living." "Life is what you make it."
  • "or in the profound melancholy always present in the modulations vedderiane"

couldn't have said it better myself.

    no, not at all...

I work at Voice of America, which employs people from all over the world...and all they do is translate various news articles.

Unfortunately, one of the few languages we don't work with is Italian...

Occhio.

I certainly didn't mean to belittle any particular service, but with so many great people on the board that do know different languages, my point was that there should be a list that we could go to to get them translated accurately. That's all I was saying.. :)

google translate's take on things: (little easier to read)

Eye as he decantino praise. Nor is this stuff never heard before.

But if you stay here, go wrong. It would be like having the right woman to run away because he did not put on a first date heels short, beyond the surface, Backspacer button. Screams of life. Brimming with energy as was the debut of two decades. And, instead, is the ninth album by a band multimillionaire. A group that could span remaking itself in all the sauces.

An attitude very far from Eddie Vedder and friends, people who spent 90 years <to remove his reputation> among the causes to Ticketmaster, squabbles with the untouchable Kurt Cobain, dedication to the fans and not restricted to the media (such as during the Vs Tour) and categorical repudiation Clip: After the laurels gathered by Jeremy, Jeff Ament did not want to know that their music was remembered for some nice image.

For better or for worse, Pearl Jam have always done their own affair. The result is that listening Backspacer as scoprisi still in love with the right woman for many years after that first date. And now the morning, when with Gonna See My Friend inaugurates a huge emotional growth. From that spark, Backspacer explodes his office, gives vent to an irrepressible desire for freedom. For momentum and the instinctive ability to move his head (as in the single "The Fixer, or Force Of Nature, where the Jam Who loved to go from inspiration late 70s Brit punk), Vedder and Co. are among the very few approach the Stones, only with Paul Young in the heart instead of Swinging London (Just Breathe testifies).

That's why, in spite of the charms of postmodernists retrace roads passed without going anywhere, Pearl Jam of being a band scream 70s. Essence. Their songs are simple, no frills exude rock-based guitars, drums and vocals (God, what a voice!). What makes the difference compared to the (n) (e) with the right look oti to philologists and without memory, is the need to say something and fortunate to have (still) something to say. Difficult to determine if the secret is a purity of composition caught by age in many ways naive (that of the Zep, zero-point and Dennis Hopper in Harley), or the ever-present in the modulation of visceral melancholy vedderiane (impossible not to perceive in Unthought Known to ancient casamio of a pain, a fury the past). It remains a fact that will not be the Squinzi year, but with this woman last long. Eye.

  • This was fun, but I didn't get all the way through. Far from it. It's been a while since I spoke Italian well. Here's my take on how far I could get. It's not the greatest. Will be interested to read an expert's take:

    A fierce yearning for freedom
After many years, the pure retro of the Kings of Seattle Warms the Heart Again

Heads Up: Even though they're singing its praises, it's not the album of the year. And it's not even stuff you haven't heard before.

But if I've stopped you there, you're making a mistake. It would be like letting the right woman go after your first date because she didn't wear heels. In other words, underneath the surface, Backspacer throbs. It screams with life. It's filled with energy, like the debut record of a twenty-year old. But it's the ninth album from a billionaire band. From a group that could make a living just imitating itself in all its guises.

It's characteristic of Eddie Vedder and the band, who spent the 90s chasing away fame; busying themselves by arguing with Ticketmaster; bickering with the peerless Kurt Cobain; devoting more time to fans than they did the media (like during the Vs. Tour); rejecting music videos (something about Jeff Ament saying he didn't want the music to be recorded with some pretty image.. )

Through good and bad, Pearl Jam has always done the right thing. The result is that listening to Backspacer is like discovering you're in love with the right woman, many years after your first date. And, it's already the morning, when Gonna See My Friend unveils her true depths. With that spark, Backspacer reveals its character, and gives vent to its irrepressible yearning for freedom.
