Ayone have some good suggestions? I'm leaning towards Dan Auerbach at Antones Sat night.....but Fri and Sat are wide open. Not happening Sunday...obviously. ;)

Bon Iver conflicts with Pearl Jam....Stinks.

Just checked them out...interesting! We'll be pretty wound up by night time...trying to figure out if we'll be up for a band thats laid back or loud 'n sassy... :)

Black Keys at Stubbs were PERFECT last year.

    Thanks for the suggestion! :P

What is Antones like? Loved Stubbs outdoor setup...very cool. Antones mentions "all ages"....wristband to have a few brews or no alcohol?

I picked up tickets to the Thursday night School of Seven Bells/Magic Wands show and the Saturday night Grizzly Bear/Beach House show.

I'm flying in from Regina, Saskatchewan, all by my lonesome for the weekend, so I'm looking forward to meeting some Pearl Jam fans in Texas!

Thanks! Ya saw the list of whose played there...wow. Stevie Ray Vaughn is a hero (RIP...he died in my state)... :( Sounds like a classic joint
  • We saw Dan Auerbach at Schubas for an after Lolla show and it was so fun! His band packs a nice punch and his album is definitely one of the best of 09. Would do it again in a heart beat. Had more fun at his show than Chicago night one of PJ.
  • I'll be at Blitzen Trapper/Wye Oak, Deer Tick/Alberta Cross, and Dan Auerbach/Rodriguez. ACL headliners aren't really doing it for me this year...with one exception, of course

Alberta Cross sound a bit like a classic rock Blind Melon, and don't miss Rodriguez...really interesting dude, he put out two fantastic, Dylanesque records in early Seventies and then pretty much dropped off the face of the planet. Unbeknownst to him, those records became a huge cult sensation in South Africa, Australia and New Zealand. He's just started touring again and puts on an absolutely fantastic show.

  • Howdy Yall!

Where is the best place to find info on ACL aftershows?

In the past have any of the big bands played smaller shows before/after/during ACL?

    Thanks in advance.
