has anyone ever done ambien? my friend's folks have a prescription and he gave me a couple.

i have never done it before so am wondering what it's like.

    done ambien? :? i have been prescribed ambien by a sleep disorder specialist.

    i don't recommend you taking it to get high if that's what you're getting at.

    i agree. but whats scarier is that all the news reports ive seen about prescription drug abuse and kids taking pills out of their parents' medicine cabinets are obviously a real problem. i'm always skeptical about the media blowing things out of proportion. might not be the case with this.

    ok. i wasnt looking for a lecture. i am well aware of the dangers of prescription drugs. everyone is different. i know what i can and cannot handle and would never put myself in a dangerous situation.

    if you know what it is like and can tell me, great. if not, please spare me.

    ok smartass, i havent worked at a car wash in over 6 months. i have moved on with my life and have a better job now. get off your high horse.

    they are just sleeping aids, make sure you will get at least 8 hours of sleep, may awake feeling groggy. if erection lasts longer than four hours contact a physician.

    the whole point of taking them as sleep aids... and from what EVERYONE has told me, i will wake up feeling refreshed. not groggy. that is the whole point, to sleep well and wake up refreshed.

    an erection would be caused by viagra not ambien....im not on viagra.

    im on the ambien right now and its pretty sweet. dont know why everyone is acting like a jew about it. it's really fun i feel great.

    so predictable that you all would give me a hard time. all i wanted was a little info on what it was like and of course no one helped me out there they just bitched and gave me a hard time. :roll: figures.

    you WISH you were on ambien. its GREAT!

    My husband was prescribed Ambien for sleep problems. It helped him sleep but it made him very moody so he stopped taking it. He decided insomnia was better than weird mood swings. So you might want to see how you feel after you've taken a couple of them. :? :shock:

    My decade-plus hell of severe insomnia DISAPPEARED when I stopped eating processed food and switched to organic.

    Life is much more simple than the Prescription writers ever want us to know! The default normal state of health is thriving and happy. Anything less means that something needs to be changed to reverse the problem. That's the real cure- not addressing 'symptoms' with pharmaceuticals.

    I crashed my car about 10yrs ago while on ambien,but I also drank about 4 beers and took a few bingers. I had no intentions on driving but I got into a big argument with this girl I was living with at the time and I figured it would be better if I just leave so I can cool off for a little while. At first I was OK ,but then I had to hold my hand over 1 eye so that I could fucking see straight,and then BLAM !!!!!! I ran right into the side of the bridge that I was driving over.
    Other than that experience with Ambien it works great if you are having trouble sleeping ,but just like one of the posters said make sure you can sleep for 8 hrs. The only side effect that I didn't like was that it made me very grouchy the next morning.

    Never been perscribed, but have taken Ambien numerous times. Doesn't do much for me besides makes me sleep well. At first, we'd take it and try to fight the sleepiness in hopes of a trip, but it didn't do anything special. Now I'll only take them if I'm flying long distances. Made my flight to Sydney go by much faster, that's for sure. I say don't waste your time.

    All great points. It's so true, if a doctor prescribes a kid some crazy pill, a parent will most likely feel 100% comfortable. But a bag of pot... :roll:

    Don't waste your time with it...I took it once while in high school. Went to a computer literacy class and functioned fine throughout the class, but I don't recall more than the walk into the classroom. I'd rather have a joint and a beer anyday.

    I assume you mean that jewish people commonly sleep better and therefore speak out against ambien?

    And, is it supposed to be really fun?
