    I think you need to try to build a band based on style, not just pick your favorite musicians, for example...

    Jim Morrison - vocals
    Eric Clapton - lead guitar
    Duane Allman - guitars
    Ray Manzarek - keys
    John Paul Jones - Bass
    Keith Moon - Drums


    Eddie Vedder - vocals
    Mike McCready - lead guitar
    Jerry Cantrell - guitars

    I know we can use musicians alive or dead but my 5 just happen to be dead so here goes

    It was hard for me to leave Frank Zappa off this list but i firmly believe that Hendrix and SRV on that same stage together would have been the sickest thing to ever occur on the face of the planet!
