Confirmed - only 2 spectrum shows

I feel the same way. The reason I chose the 10/30 date was because of the fact that I was under the same impression; that this would be the last show the Spectrum would ever see. Wednesday would've been a much easier day to get off from work for me, but I wanted to be a part of history. If they want to add an extra date, hopefully it'd be 10/29 or 10/27.jets521 wrote:I have a feeling that there will be no more shows added.....that 10/28 and 10/30 is it.
dont you think we would have heard officially from 10c by now?
i have tix to both shows and would be a little pissed off if they added a show on 10/31 because i was under the impression that i would be seeing the final spectrum concert. Thanks EPOTTSIII!

These were the two statements the 10C released w/ the tour info...the first, directly underneath the tour dates:
Note: Potential additional dates and corresponding on-sale information may be announced at a later date.
The second, at the bottom of the page:
At this time, there are no more North American dates to be added to the current tour.
A little contradictory, but what I take from that is there are potential rollover dates coming, like Philly 3, or, say, a second night in San Diego. That's why that note is directly underneath the tour dates.
I think the statement at the bottom of the page is to say there won't be any additional cities this year. Of course, "at this time" leaves the door wide open, so make of it what you will...
this is at least the 2nd or 3rd time i've seen mention of this 'contradictory' nature of these comments. um....no, they are not contradictory. the two phrases i bolded clearly illustrate...not contradictory. potential dates......means, maybe. at this time....means just that. at...this....time.....there are no dates to add, but there is the potential for them. meaning, it's possible there may be more dates....they just don't know at this moment in time! basically, they were/are leaving the door open for possibility!
no dig at you eduardo - you did spell it out, but seriously folks...reading is fundamental!
anyhoo......still hopeful, but we will see soon enough. 10.31 or no 10.31....i still get to see live pearl jam 10.30....and that makes me HAPPY.
Stay with me...

I'm startin' to think the two shows we got are the two shows we're getting! In S.F. in '06, they sold tix/made the announcent and took orders in case the 3rd date was confirmed (it was). Plus, with all the "last show at the Spectrum" advertising for the 30th, I'm thinkin' that's the way it goes."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience." 10/29 is a definite no-go. No way they do three nights in a row. And I highly doubt they would add the 10/27 show for a Tuesday night. Even though people got shut out of the first two shows, they'll have a much better chance selling out a Saturday night than they would on a Tuesday night.
You may not like it since you wanted to be at the very last Spectrum show, but for a large number of people, the Saturday show would be much more convenient.
Either way, if they add a 3rd show it will be 10/31, not 10/27.5/28/06 - Camden, NJ

That was the rumor all along, and PJ pretty clearly seemed inclined to play it by setting the original dates of 10/28 and 10/30. Plus the sales people selling out all those club seats for 10/31, etc. -- not to mention how quickly the first two shows sold out (other than behind-stage and upper-deck singles to 10/28).
If they were only playing 2 shows then why would they need a day off in between them? It does not make any sense...they would be playing them back to back like they are in Seattle.
I don't have a view one or another (besides these people claiming to have box seats already - which could easily just be reserving the box "in case" there is a show - and not evidence of a definite show)... but I don't get the argument that a "day off" means it has to be a 3-show set... maybe the boys want a day to take in the town?
Either way, I hope it DOES get added... just doesn't seem too promising (as of today).

I agree 1,000%, and I'm sure that there are many others who are in the same situation and are/were under the same impression. Would really be a distasteful move if this came to be.0 -

I think the word "distasteful" is a bit harsh. And is it really THAT big of deal if they add a show, which allows more fans to see the band? So what if you can't be there for THE last night at the Spectrum. You're still going to get an awesome couple of shows, and like I said, more loyal fans will have an opportunity to see the band.
Anyway, much of the decision is business-driven. They wanted to make sure they sold out the first two nights before adding a third. There was always the danger that if they announced all three dates up front the Wednesday show might not sell out.
Either way, it's far from the end of the world if they add the 10/31 show. You're still seeing Pearl Jam...5/28/06 - Camden, NJ

PJ never once announced 10/30 as the last show at the Spectrum, so how would it be even remotely distasteful for them to do that?0

It makes much more sense to play the two planned shows consecutively and not have all your gear and crew in the city for an extra day."They said ... timing was everything
made him ... want to be everywhere
there's a ... lot to be said for nowhere."0 -
The other two shows have to sell out people, until that happens a third wont be announced. Simple supply and demand here. Ten Club doesn't owe you people complaining about an announcement.0

The 10/31 show is planned, they are already selling box tickets for it, they were telling people on Fri that it was going to happen, the link on phillymag (I believe that was it) had all 3 dates prior to them being pulled.
Why they didn't announce all 3 at once, I don't know, but it is what it is.0 -

My guess is they felt 10/28 might not sell out if they went on sale the same time as 10/30 and 10/31."They said ... timing was everything

You're probably right, but given how many shows sell out in the NE every year, I doubt it would have been an issue.0 -
Where does it say that both shows sold out?Walks on his own... With thoughts he can't help thinking...0

Not For You wrote:Where does it say that both shows sold out?
It doesn't. But earlier today I could not get a single for 10/30 or a pair for 10/28. They're effectively sold out."They said ... timing was everything
made him ... want to be everywhere
there's a ... lot to be said for nowhere."0 -
Not For You wrote:Where does it say that both shows sold out?
when you try to buy tickets it says none available = sold out0
