For those of you not in the Philly area, 104.5 has been on the air for about 9 weeks (sometime in May 2009), prior to that they were the Rumba 104.5, an all-Spanish station. I didn't hear the information, but this isn't the same as news coming from WMMR (which I also take with a grain of salt).

This is NOT TRUE. I called the Spectrum today and the lady I spoke with told me that an announcement will be made this week with regard to the 10/31 show and that I should keep checking the comcast website for more information. If there was not going to be a 3rd show she would not have told me that!

What are you talking about? 104.5 has been on for over 2 years now. They also play alot of Pearl jam and not just the singles. I hear Once, State of Love and Trust, Porch and assorted other goodies quite frequently. They play a better assortment of PJ than WMMR does. Not sure what this Rumba station is that you are speaking of lol but I assure you, 104.5 has been here for a few years now.

If there's a show we'll stay, if not we'll be even happier we saw Friday's. Why trash folks passing info to us about what they heard? And pretty cold of the person inferring the one who may miss trick or treat was a bad parent for staying if they play. Are you a parent? In my mind the kid(s) wasn't missing it, they just wouldn't be taking them out. The band members with kids won't be home either. Think I've heard it all now or totally misunderstood what they meant going there.

And that, I think, was the handle - that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of old and evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn't need that. Our energy would simply prevail. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave. So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in PHILADELPHIA and look west, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark - that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.

There will be a 3rd show..this is the gospel according to Gonzo

i'm getting REALLY frustrated with the 10C over this BS. have some respect for your customers and put yourselves in their shoes for 1 second, trying to plan a trip while waiting for information. and "there is no further information at this time" isnt good enough.

really annoying how we have to fight and dig for every little piece of information regarding this band.

After the "tour" announcement, didn't the 10C specifically state that there were not gong to be any more shows announced as part of this tour.

What more information do you want. It's not their fault that a bunch of people clung to the hope that there would be a third show. just because the band had the night reserved. All that means is that they had the date held while they put together the rest of the tour.

i'm still hopeful. if it doesn't happen, c'est la vie. i'll be disappointed sure, but i'll get over it quick enough. i mean, i still will be seeing the LAST show at the spectrum, and yea....getting my live pearl jam fix. 10.30 may end up being my one and only pj show this year - a first - but hey, at least i've got one show! sure, i'd love 2....back to back...friday/saturday....make the trip a bit more *worthwhile*....but yea.....whatever.....i'm STILL seeing pearl jam live this year! it's all good...

    but i'm still hopeful...;)
    Stay with me...

dont give me that BS about "they said no more shows." they monitor every post on this board, they see the rumors swirling and the questions coming into their inbox. the Spectrum is already selling suites for the show!

if its not gonna happen, its as simple as making a post on the board. if it's gonna happen, tell us so we can plan our trips and get back to work.

for a band that is big on conserving resources, think about how much worker productivity is wasted because of the way the band/10C releases news/puts tickets on sale/etc.

It's 10C trying to tell you something.... stay at home! Let the locals go to the show. There are plenty of other shows you can travel to, where the dates have already been announced. Do you really want to shut out a local? Think of your carbon footprint!
We'll see...I hope no more. I would LOVE to hit PJ Friday AND take the kids out Saturday.
You can take your kids out Saturday night regardless of PJ playing a 3rd show. We will let you know how it is. You are probably only going to miss "No way."

WOW... two shows isn't enough, you need three? PLUS you would see a THIRD show over Halloween with your kids? Please take your kids out for Halloween. Make more memories with your family than with Pearl Jam.

Ok, so this guy from Scpectrum just called me 'cause I had inquire about VIP/Club Box Seats, (which they only have VIP tickets left for $285.00 per person), and he just told me that the Saturday show is yet to be announced and he could not confirm anything, as he said "is still up in the air". Hopefully it will happen, it will be better of for me, otherwise I will have to spend too much much and loose time from work.

These were the two statements the 10C released w/ the tour info...the first, directly underneath the tour dates:

Note: Potential additional dates and corresponding on-sale information may be announced at a later date.

The second, at the bottom of the page:

At this time, there are no more North American dates to be added to the current tour.

A little contradictory, but what I take from that is there are potential rollover dates coming, like Philly 3, or, say, a second night in San Diego. That's why that note is directly underneath the tour dates.

I think the statement at the bottom of the page is to say there won't be any additional cities this year. Of course, "at this time" leaves the door wide open, so make of it what you will...
