  • Hi all

Just to bring some happier vibes back in, just want to say well done to those who DID manage to get through and I feel ya pain for those of you who didn't (like me!) I am at least glad SOME of us did manage to get them.

Good luck to all with 10c lottery later!!

Yes! Being disappointed is totally normal, I am gutted about not getting tickets. But life goes on, there's another couple of chances to get tickets. Congrats to all 10 Clubbers who managed to get through, at least we know those tickets are in good hands!

HMV Order cancelled, only thing I haven't cancelled with them is the Brian Fallon/Chuck Ragan split 7" and that's only because I can't find another UK company that's going to stock it.

How have I not heard of that? I love Chuck Ragan...

I think it's a limited run, mainly for the US market, I heard about it through the Gaslight Anthem forum.

Anyone else that managed to get tickets think that paying £4.95 for picking up your tickets from the venue is funking ridiculous?? Plus the extra £4 booking fee for each ticxket means it cost me £13 in extras for two tickets. I'd happily pay more than that to go to this show but i still think its a total rip off.

I have to keep checking my indox to make sure that the confirmation is still there, it still feels like a dream!

Hopefully I'll see everyone on here at the show!

  • Someone just told me that when HMV cocked up a pre-sale for Depeche Mode, they send out free downloadable albums to those involved....
  • I don't think anybody on here is gonna be placated by a free Depeche Mode download...

    ;)
  • LOL but judging by HMV's performance today, I wouldn't put it past them to send us the wrong bloomin CD anyway :-D

So they have form for this sort of thing? Makes it even worse somehow. May the 10C gods smile on we the ticketless this evening...
If I knew where it was, I would take you there...

That's kinda what I thought too -- "Hmm, so they have done this BEFORE then...!"...

Hmm. Maybe ITB (the booking agent) should know how these places handle their acts...
  • Hi all,

I came back from death just to see PJ at the SBE. I was unlucky with the HMV website. Anyone with spare a ticket. I will do anything for it. Give my car, my house or even play a reggae song. I also have a O2 spare ticket if anyone interested.

And just like The Beatles say: "Dont let me die"

Sorry, entered yesterday. Spare tickets will be offered on here @ face value if I do get lucky.
  • That's a good point - if people do end up with spares, how will the allocation work? We are all mad hungry for them :)
Do we have do do a dance? Write a poem? :) Swing from London Bridge, singing Pearl Jam songs?

I guess the fairest way would be to put names in a hat and pull them out!

  • Seems the fairest method. We need to make a list of those in need of tickets after the drawing at 8pm, and another list of those with spares.

Pearl Jam should put their tickets in chocolate bars.

Anyone know how soon we'll find out once the lottery closes at 8pm?

  • Arse!!!!!!!!! Bloody HMV. My link didn't work & now all the tickets are gone!!!!! Why does nothing work like its supposed to?

If you got tickets then good for you, really. I would try & beg a spare from someone but I need 2 as my wife wants to come too, so theres not much point. Enjoy the show & remember, I'm not bitter in any way. ;)
I know some day you'll have a beautiful life, I know you'll be a star, in somebody else's sky but why why why can't it be, can't it be mine?

I didn't get the HMV pre-sale link so I rang HMV at 9 this moring and got this email back, it's no consolation now but thought I'd share :

Thank you for your telephone call earlier this morning.
The email concerning the pre-sale of tickets for the Pearl Jam concert was sent out at 5.30pm on Monday 20th July 2009. You should therefore have been in receipt of the email in time for the pre-sale this morning at 9am. If you did not receive the email, then the most likely explanation is that the email was blocked by a spam filter on your account, and unfortunately this is outside of the control of hmv. The ticket offer has proved to be extremely popular, and as a result the pre-sale offer sold out very quickly. If you were unable to get tickets, then please check the hmv tickets web site, and other ticketing sites, for information as to when the general sale of Pearl Jam tickets will commence.
    Kind Regards,

That's bullshit!!! I didnt get the link either but i have no trouble recieving any other emails from HMV!!!!!
  • Sounds like a pretty convoluted system but if it's all we've got....

Should the tickets only be available to those who were in the original lottery, or is it free to anyone? Seems like it's gonna be hard to work this thing out fairly.
we're all going to the same place...
