On another note, am I the only one who didn't have a problem with the Harrison Ford commercial? We all know the PJ boys are big conservationists, why shouldn't they lend their music to a good cause. Is Harrison Ford himself the problem? If so, why? He's one of the most iconic actors of our time... I mean he's friggin Han Solo & Indiana Jones! He's been in 7 of the highest grossing films of all time (and possibly #8 is on the way if Crystal Skull does as well as it's expexcted)... you never see him in tabloids or on TMZ, he keeps to himself... what's not to like about him?
i have no problem with the Harrison Ford commercial

Since Pearl Jam doesn't sell songs for commercials, some people are trying to spin that environmental commercial into "see Pearl Jam sold a song for a commercial". I guess some people can't stand the fact their music's integrity is still unblemished after all these years.0 -

but the commercial just sucks! (the Ford one I mean)
...like Rock around Barrack did, even if you're a Barrack supporter.0 -

After thinking about it, your right. I did run into a couple of people who pulled that out of their ass. So I kind of put the label on the rest who didn't like it for other reasons. My bad.0 -

A couple thoughts rolled through my head after reading this...Does it matter if they smoke? I quit smoking over 5 months ago, thanks to Chantix (YES a plug for the AMAZING prescription drug worth every penny) but I tried for YEARS to quit, and I knew the effects of Cancer, and all the while, still donated significant money every year to Prostate and Breast Cancer Research Foundations. Not to be negative, I am just curious what the point is? Should we shun smokers???
Anyhow, a couple of foundations to donate to...We all spent how much on PJ tickets??? Send them a couple bucks...It WILL help.

Great song and nice PSA.
June 7th will be the 2 year anniversary of my Dad's death from cancer. He was young sixties and never smoked. My maternal grandfather died of lung cancer many years ago from smoking though.Mary Jane

Good point...congratulations on quitting. Of course I don't mean to shun smokers. The reason I said this is because I saw an article about famous people who preach about the dangers of global warming, they used Madonna and David Beckham as examples, and they only travel on chartered planes. Kind of defeats the purpose in my eyes. I found that kind of ironic. I guess this ad reminded me of that. That's all.0
