I've encountered flying roaches in Jamaica and I can remember them coming out at nightime. Well atleast we don't have to deal with roaches like from this scene from the movie

yeah--we have those here too. not so much in Waco, but they were all over the place in Houston. texas roaches are HUGE. when we first moved into our house here about a year or so ago, i ran to the store to get my wife & i something to eat while we started unpacking. i came home and she was standing on the high part of the couch freaking out. i asked her what was wrong & she just pointed. i swear it was the biggest, nastiest roach that i had ever seen. it seemed like it took half a can of spray just to kill it--it just wouldn't die. we have our house sprayed every 2 months because of that.I LOVE MUSIC.

We call them "Palmetto Bugs" in my home state and they can fly also.
Cant stand them, whenever I see one I kill it. They''re known to carry like 7 known diseases0 -
I sooooo want to share this on Facebook, but can't cuz my roommie is on there.
They wonder why there might be a rat here. Ugh. I'm only posting a link. This photo is disgusting. I want to hurl everytime I go to the kitchen.

There were cockroaches in this place when I came here, but only a few here and there. I'm actually surprised that we don't have a full blown infestation with how my roommates leave food everywhere. I swear there are actually fewer cockroaches. :? Maybe not even the bugs can handle this distgustingness. :evil:I carried a watermelon0 -

Jeez! What exactly is in that sink?
I once had a roommate who was so lazy and messy she got Teflon to rust. Not joking either."A lot more people are capable of being big out there that just don't give themselves a chance." -Stone Gossard0 -

Hot dogs and some other crud.
I'd pitch a fit, but I should be moving into my own place within about a week. My roommates are great as friends, but I'm so happy I don't have to live with them much longer. I'm sure we would develop major pest issues if we continued to live in such filth.I carried a watermelon0 -

Congratulations. If I were in your position I'd be more excited about this than PJ announcing a tour. Good luck with the move."A lot more people are capable of being big out there that just don't give themselves a chance." -Stone Gossard0 -

when i lived in orlando, i had an apartment that was near an oak tree so they would get into my apartment sometimes. i would have to chase them around my apartment with bug spray...bathroom cleaner...whatever i could get my hands on and hope that they would die!!
in tampa i would see them daily scattering around the streets. sometimes they would get into my store...disgusting! just another reason why i'm glad to be out of florida.
now you get to enjoy giant spiders0 -

Oh yeah, lots of flying ones in Bangladesh. One time when I was there a swarm started in the living room (the windows are open to the outside, with just metal grills so thieves won't get in, so bugs come in and out. Anyway my husband and I were sleeping at night and we started hearing thwap, smash, slap (the sound of sandals hitting things) from the living room, so he goes out, and then comes back in and says 'stay in there' as I cower in the mosquito net. He and his brothers were killing a lot of roaches that had been flying, smashing them with their sandals. I could hear them running on the outside of the house too. Its a tropical place. Big bugs.R.i.p. Rigoberto Alpizar.

Growing up in MN, I remember having to deal with these asshole June bugs for two weeks at the beginning of every Summer.
They fly around at dusk, and they're vision is really bad so they'll run right into you and land on your clothes and just sit there and cling to you until you pick them off of you. They're also really agressive and have no problem using those pincers.Post edited by mookeywrench on0 -

That happened to me one time, except it was my leg. It was so big!!!! I jumped up, my husband turned on the light and we stayed awake until we found it and got rid of it. It was one of the biggest bugs I've ever seen... It still makes me shiver to think about it.0

i'm hoping that because my apartment here in new that i won't have to deal with bugs too much. i can handle spiders, as long as they're not too gigantic and keep to themselves.0 -

That's JUST what I was thinking. Fuck that. I'm gonna go read something less disturbing on the Moving Train before I go to bed (and that's saying something, since pretty much everything over there is disturbing).0 -
