    I'm sorry but I just had to react to the moaning (probably the pregnancy hormones raising their ugly head). It is not possible to keep everyone happy and it's impossible for the band to meet the demands of all their fans. I'm not going to be able to participate in this because I will be heavily pregnant and have back problems - making the 02 show is going to be pushing it as it is and they have seats there. There is no way I would begrudge anyone else the opportunity to go to what sounds like it will be an amazing experience. I'm just grateful that I've seen them at all and that they continue to be a great band. Please let others be excited about this show and enjoy it.

    Northern Ireland is part of the UK. The Republic isn't but maybe they thought it would be way too complicated to separate the two for the purpose of tickets.

    If you buy 2 tickets do you increase your chances of getting a ticket?

    I doubt they would just get a list of all the 10c memberships who applied and do a random lottery as they maybe over the ticket limit or under it.

    There are various issues here that will throw-up varying points of view on the whole thing, and I'm gonna make some enemies here by saying this, but I think that it's right that (at least temporarily) the 10c should hold tickets for UK members only. It would be the same for the French if the show was in Paris, etc, etc.

    I have been a member since 92 & read reports of 10c only shows in the States that date back to those early years. When originally joining the 10c, the idea of Fan Club only shows was something that helped cement the deal of joining-up - they were not promised, but they were hinted at. To this day we in the UK (and many other territories) have not had one. There are those, and I am one of them, that believe that the Astoria show should have been 10c only. Harsh maybe, but I think a just reward for those that have followed the band for many years & spent a lot of money on their goods. I feel the same about this SBE show.

    The HMV pre-order will do nothing to get tickets into the hands of true fans, because you can pre-order the album to receive the link, and then cancel the order once you know if you have been successful or not. the touts will know this & will exploit this loophole. So will anyone else who wants to make a fast Buck (I suppose that should be Pound) on the night of the gig, just by going down to the venue & selling their ticket for a HUGE profit.

    The 10c should have just opened-up this pre-sale to UK members first, allowing us to purchase either 1 or 2 tickets, and then on the second day, open the sale up to all 10c members. Hell, I'm not even sure if there are enough active 10c members in the UK who could fill the venue anyway. perhaps there are...

    I guess we'll have to wait until Monday to see how the 10c pre-sale goes, and then the following day for the HMV pre-sale - and here my initial point in my first post still stands - the pre-sale for HMV takes place at 9am on Tues 21st, which is only hours after the PJ pre-sale. It is almost guaranteed that the confirmation of our ticket orders from the 10c will not get to us by 9am on Tuesday which will result in many of us trying for both sales, which will result in some people obtaining 4 tickets. I know they will find good homes here, but I feel that this could be done so much better & made it possible for more genuine & long-term fans to get tickets without the hassle of finding someone with a spare or 2. Other bands such as Nine Inch Nails manage to do this quite successfully.

    Having said all that I have said, I wish everyone here good luck in obtaining tickets for what will surely be a superb show.

    Don't want to quote the whole post :P but 10c pre-sale doesn't close until 20.00 on the 21st so we definitely won't know if we've been successful by the time of the hmv pre-sale so plenty of people will be trying for both

    The 10C presale runs until 8 PM on the 21st though. Why not wait until after trying for HMV tickets to enter into the lottery? Would keep people from ending up with 4 tickets, wouldn't it?

    Everyones going on about how this should be a 10c presale, and that the HMV presale will get tickets into the hands of touts. It might, but I suspect this is part of a similar deal to that with Target in the US for the retail distribution of their album. HMV distribute the album, the band gets to do a warm up show and HMV get the kudos of having tickets for sale fora PJ gig which encourages fans to buy the album in advance through the website.

    I expect 10c were lucky to get anything to sell for this one.

    Yes, everyone try for both. I am unable to try for the presale as I will be teaching on Tuesday, so any spares please think of the board members first!!!

    Really pleased about the 10c lottery though, totally appropriate to let home fans have an exclusive attempt for tickets. Sucks for other Europeans, but if they were playing a small show in your country, you'd be pissed if you had everyone else invading.

    Anyhooo...it's alll gooood, lots of us are seeing the boys anyway.

    personally, i think it should be open to all european members. it seems that the UK is the "NE of europe"...hahaha. they seem to get more shows than other countries, lately anyway......outside of the italian tour in 2006......and this now makes 2 'special shows' for them. i am totally HAPPY for em all...i just think they could spread the love around a bit more with the rest of europe. i definitely AM in favor of having "limits" in place for such small, special shows.....and it's happened in seattle, NY, etc......tho i wonder why not the vic? but i digress.

    I think the UK has as many 10c members as the rest of Europe together, so I guess that's one reason for this show...and it's not like other europeans couldn't attend the show, they can still get tickets through hmv or the general sale...

    don't think the UK has seen that many shows (apart from festivals & astoria) in 2006 and 2007, except for London...so I guess that's another reason for the 3 shows there this time...

    The gig's now showing on the O2 blueroom; althought priority tickets don't go on sale until 23rd July.

    this is a shit thing...next time they will do a pre-sale only for black,or white people,,and maybe orthodox vs catholic..so CAUTION:if they play in my country,Greece,dont evet think buy tickets...this mean war for our borders...u will be shoot in the airport...(info:so take a boat from italy to come,for not the radar catch pj fan intro in Greece---dont tell that im the one that give you this info ....you all foreigners are bad people....) :shock:
