No longer a 10C member?

A few days ago I received a rather disturbing mail from 10 Club. It said that my membership was about to or had expired! Nearly fell out of the chair!
I renewed a month ago, almost a full month before the expirationdate. The purchase is listed in my profile, but it stil says expire: 1st april 2008!??
Wrote 10C, but haven't got any answer yet.
Has anybody have this happen to them?

I would hate to loose my membershipnumber and just imagine the bad timing, if I was an american fan planning on going to some of the shows!! :eek:

I'd be willing to bet its an automatically generated email and goes out a set time before your expiration date, without the knowledge that you already re-upped. I wouldn't worry,and expect you'll get a similar answer from 10c.

mine expired about November of 07. That 20 bucks is going to something alittle more useful from here on out.

don't worry, if you emailed them they'll sort it out.. they process the memberships manually, so yours just seems to have been overlooked, you email should sort it out.
you can always give them a call if you don't hear anything in the next few days.

Thanks for the answers. I'll try to calm down a bit.
But if I loose my membershipnumber due to some serverglitch (sp?), I'll have a hard time keeping my calm!

i realized the other day that my membership ran out on me. my number wasn't great anyway but its still a bummer. i dont know why but i kept thinking it would just automatically renew for the next year unless i cancelled it.

a somewhat similar situation several years back. i tried to re-up my membership, but the server was down. tried for several days, but it wouldn't let me through. finally got through a week or so later and when i got my membership stuff, i had a new number (obviously higher). tried contacting 10c, but didn't get much back except a "sorry, your membership expired -- nothing we can do about it" statement. did get an acknowledgment that they had had server/technical problems at the time. i think i screwed up by not pursuing it more, but at the time, i was relatively new to 10c and didn't realize (until later) how important membership numbers were. plus, it was at a time when the band wasn't touring, so it slipped my mind.

bottom line -- i was an idiot, technology sucked and my number (217xxx) is higher than it should be. pretty much regret my slip up (and 10c's non-understanding, although i totally appreciate all the club does for us all) every day.

i'm sure your situation will be resolved -- i think they are a lot more equipped to deal with that stuff now.

I would call 10c. But also, I wouldn't worry cause this is their mistake, not yours. They will definitely fix it.

Finally got an e-mail back from 10C. Turns out I placed the order just as they were switching servers or something. They had to cancel my order and I had to order again.
I sure as fuck hope this doesn't affect my membershipnumber!

it is only 2 weeks past, i think you should be right, forward them the email, complete with date when you recieved it, and they will see that you were notified late, i highly doubt you will lose your membership number

Again, this is their mistake. If you do lose your number, call them up, explain calmly what went wrong and why its not your fault. If they ask, just send them all the emails. I wouldn't worry too much if I were you because clearly this is their mistake.

I would agree. also, if it is mistake, the ten club is generally really cool about these things.

I let my membership die out this year, im not gonna travel to another state to see PJ when they keep skipping over Texas. If they ever play houston again ill try my luck at Ticketmaster...its not worth the $20 a year to keep hoping they will play, its been 5+yrs now, they can fuck off.

The 10 Club can "fuck off" because Pearl Jam isn't playing your state? You chose to spend $20 because YOU thought that PJ would come to town, and the 10 Club did you wrong? Did I miss the part of the membership that states "With your membership, we will make Pearl Jam come to your neck of the woods!".

Damn....I never would have traveled to shows if I had read that!
