acl fest lineup announced tomorrow.

    I remember being in Austin in '95 and was cruising around 6th Street during SXSW and some people were running down the street screaming "I just saw Pearl Jam!". I was never really sure if they weren't just high but they said they played a supersecret show at some bar that only holds a few hundred people. This story really has nothing to do with your original post - I just thought it would be a cool story to share. And maybe they'll have another type show there during ACL or something. I really want to make it this year regardless.

    i saw pj in austin in 95 but that was at southpark meadows.

    i do know some pple that saw them at sxsw in the early 90's but that was also when southby was like 40bucks for a wristband, and everyone who went was local.

    and dont get me wrong. i already bought my acl tickets, but it would have been even more awesome if pj played.

    No idea but last time I heard, Mike McCready had told someone they were playing ACL, well that's what the someone posted, it would help if I remember who it was or if I could find the thread, but I have no clue.. **only rumors so far, nothing concrete* but I dont know about other rumored bands for headliners.

    I'll check in the morning when I take my kids to school.

    Yeah. I remember reading that someone had talked to Mike and he confirmed it. I just don't see it happening. Not that I wouldn't love to see them in Austin again (my first show). I just think that if it was going to happen we'd have gotten a 'tweet' or something by now.

    Why the fuck can't this band find time in their busy schedule to play one fucking show in this state? Is that too much to ask?? Just one fucking show. 3 of the top 10 biggest cities in the country and not one fucking show.

    I should total up the amount of miles I have traveled to see PJ since the last time they played here.
