i'm in love!
http://www.ciaobellagelato.com/flavors/
seriously...this stuff is soooo YUMMM!
i am especially partial to the blackberry cabernet sorbetto, when i can find it  ....but i've not tried a bad flavor just yet - mr. dream loves the pistachio gelato. the grapefruit campari sounds delish, but not available in pints. however, they have a gelateria right at grand central - tempting, tempting! 8-)

hubby loves it....i am honestly not a fan.
dunno why, pistacho flavored anything (outside of actual pistachoes) never did much for me.
i had some raspberry sorbetto last night and it was delish!
their flavors are just so pure and INTENSE.
8-)
i love reading the ingredients:
raspberries, water, sugar
can't get much simpler/better than that!

I love gelato!!! I've been to Italy twice, and ate it every day of both trips. You can't be neutral on a moving train.0 -
We ate it every day while in Italy also. Bellingham has it's own very good gelato place called Serena. The owner trained under a master or whatever it's called in Italy.
"I'd rather be with an animal." "Those that can be trusted can change their mind." "The in between is mine." "If I don't lose control, explore and not explode, a preternatural other plane with the power to maintain." "Yeh this is living." "Life is what you make it."0 -

ya know, i saw on their website that they supply many restaurants and i have to say, i bet my local fave italian place does indeed provide ciao bella gelato/sorbetto. next time i am there, i may ask, pure curiosity. i have always LOVEd the gelato and sorbetto at this place, so fresh tasting and so INTENSE....and that's exactly what the ciao bella pints i buy taste like. hmmmmm....
pearlgirl, you absolutely should try and hunt down the blackberry cabernet, it is AWESOME!
i bought it once in our local market, and they haven't had it since.
i've been to italy a couple times myself....definitely love the gelato! i'll tell ya tho - this stuff is just as good, especially when you go to their gelaterias! (and i realize now, duh.....that a ciao bella shop opened RIGHT in my childhood hometown, just 2 miles from where i currently live....and we just recently did try it there....bellissimo! 8-)
btw - while we were down in baltimore to see ed, we were over in the fells point area and they have a FANTASTIC gelateria there, AMAZINGLY YUMMY. hubby loved their pistachio and chocolate.....and i adored the grapefruit......just soooooo goood! i love it when it all tastes so FRESH & INTENSE.

there's a new gelato place near me called Paciugo--they have an Olive Oil and Black Pepper gelato that might be the best tasting thing EVER. I looooove black pepper, but not olive oil so much...it was amazingly good.Need a tour Travel Agent??? Pick me :-)

Sorry to say, but Ciao Bella gelato is my least favorite. I always find that its too sticky and tacky- and leaves a weird taste/feel to my mouth. Their sorbets are fine tho. My favorite ice cream place is Il Laboratorio del Gelato in NYC. Their sorbets are a bit icy (except for the Mango- always smooth)- but the flavors are spot on. And they make a kicking Cabernet sorbet.0

oh yes?
i will have to check them out!
i must admit, i am a big fan of the sorbetto, have only taken tastes of hubby's gelato. i have loved every sorbetto flavor i have tried of theirs....but i am always open to new places and flavors! also, i like em b/c i can buy em in my local market and have it at home. cheaper/easier. i haven't found a store-bought sorbetto that surpasses them.
wow!
some crazy flavors!

yes that's right! I totally forgot that he was part of Ciao Bella. The gelato at Il Lab tastes totally different than Ciao. My catering company uses them all the time- and they make flavors for you - as long as its in a large enough quantity to make it worth it.decides2dream wrote:vduboise wrote:Sorry to say, but Ciao Bella gelato is my least favorite.
