    i'm Marie too :D but that's because my middle name is in tribute to my great grandmother Luz Maria (my mom liked Marie more than Maria)

    I don't have one either.

    My parent's both have horrendous middle names (my mom's is Florence and my dad has about 4 of them) so they thought they'd do me a favor by NOT giving me one.

    Yeah well... it didn't quite work out that way. :evil: For ever damn ScanTron test I had to take they would either call me a liar and admit my name, or force me to make up a name, or fill in A, X or Z as my middle initial. I had problems getting a driver's license, passport and a variety of other issues when you need your full name.

    For the record, I saved my daughter the same fate and let my father give her her middle name.

    I also don't have a middle name because neither of my parents liked the ones they were given.

    That's a pain that it has caused you problems. I've never had any issues. Although forms etc here (UK) have space to enter a middle name it's never a required field so I've always been able to just leave it blank.

    When I have kids unless the father has strong feelings about giving them a middle name I'd not bother giving them one.
    So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?
