It wouldn’t be nearly as fun to do this podcast each week, were it not for all of you tuning in and contacting me with all your great feedback and input. So episode #7 is comprised almost entirely of awesome listener requests! Additionally, I had a number of fans asking about my experience at the Eddie Vedder Atlanta shows last week so I included some commentary on that as well.     as always, nice work Donny... probably my favorite "set list" so far.... i am a sucker for the older shows, and the rock songs over eddie's solo shows. (though i do of course enjoy those as well)

    being that i just got it, i am defintiley a noob in the iphone category.... can i subscribe right from my iphone? or do i have to click on the link from my computer, subscribe in itunes there, then sync my iphone? when i try to click your itunes link while on my iphone, it says the address is invalid....

    I don't have an iPhone but I believe it's the same rules as with an iPod. So you're going to have to visit the site on your normal computer that has iTunes. Click that "Subscribe" button and it'll automatically subscribe to iTunes on your computer. It'll probably just download the most current episode but you can tell it to "Get All" and then set up how you want iTunes to download future podcasts in the Settings. Again assuming it's the same rules for an iPod, you will then have to plug in your iPhone into your computer and sync it to iTunes. There will be a number of different tabs for each media type where you can tell iTunes how you want it to sync with your iPhone. Click on the Podcast tab and make the appropriate selections. You should now be good to go and iTunes will update the podcast automatically to your iPhone each time you sync. Try that and let me know how it works for you. Thanks! :)

    I played Immortality on the last podcast and I played Not For You from Self Pollution on an earlier podcast. I'd prefer to not duplicate songs just yet. Anything else you wanna hear? ;)

    I just subscribed to the podcast yesterday. The mix of songs is great. I do have a little criticism though. please don't get offended or anything but the "radio voice" is a little much. I would enjoy this much much more if you were just speaking in a normal conversation tone. The speaking seems a little forced. Again, great podcast, i just think it needs to be a little less radio and a little more podcast...

    Appreciate the feedback. I'm not attempting a "radio voice" per se but I am admittedly working off a rough script -- especially when I'm rambling on for more than just a few minutes. I've never done this kind of thing before and have no background in radio or podcasting before this little experiment. I tried on #2 to record the commentary without any notes and the end result was ok; the only problem was I had to do about 500 takes before I was satisfied with each recording. So at this point, I think I'm still finding my voice and I'm not good enough to work that loose and still have it listenable to my ear. I don't want people tuning out cause I'm stumbling over all my words and have a lot of "ums" and "ahs". I think over time and as I do more episodes, I'll get better and it'll get easier and it will sound more conversational and not as forced. Thanks for listening! :)
