Hello, this my first post. I have all of the bands releases on vinyl. Everything has been opened except B-Hall. I also have Temple of the Dog and a double-sided Alice in Chains Jar of Flies/Sap double LP. Could anyone give me some advice on selling these? My bills are collecting and my girlfriend and I really want to get to a handful of shows on the next tour. The extra cash would be helpful. Thanks.

    well, here's some simple advice.

-keep the prices reasonable. there are threads here that will tell you what the "market value" is for each record. if most people are like me, they'll ignore a buy it now price on eBay or here on the pit if it's ridiculously high.
-try selling them here first. most people here have traded or sold something at some point, and most people here are looking for those elusive records/posters/ etc & will pay you very quickly.

that's all i've got for ya. good luck. and just so you know, i'll give you a fair price for No Code. 8-)
    I LOVE MUSIC.

Ok, so this is overwhelming. Apparently I didn't realize some or all of the worth of the lp's. I will compile the prices over the next couple of days and get those out. I'm assuming that's ok to post. Could someone let me know? I want to see them go to Ten Club member/s rather than just anybody on eBay. I also have all the fan club singles from 1996 to current, the Volcom single, the deluxe box set and the orange Ames Bros book for available. It's tough to let everything go but I'd rather be able to get to some shows over the summer and pay bills. It is amazing how time flies! I'll been collecting this stuff since 1993!

Please be patient with me too. This isn't something I've done before. I've got to figure out the mailing process and cost as well. I'm assuming I'll need to wrap them up an insure them too. Do people think I'm better off selling a whole package of everything or individually?

First off...welcome aboard. Hopefully you will enjoy your stay here.

It is a very standup thing you're doing offering these up to 10Clubbers. I know that it's sometimes hard to let go of your collection when needing to pay bills. I'm an avid record listener and collector and fully aware of how much a collection means.

As for the shipping...make sure you use record/LP mailers. Never, never use bubble mailers w/ any type of backing or boards inside. They will cause more damage than anything else. I have a thread from DeadFormat.net bookmarked at home that shows how to properly mail records. It's a bit tongue-in-cheek but shows. I'll link it when I get home.

As for shipping prices. With any records, you can give the buyer option to use Medial Mail which runs about $4.00 or less. If they want priority, it will run more of course.

If you come up with prices that you're willing to sell for, it can go either way when it comes to selling them individually or as a lot. It may be harder to sell as a lot b/c not everyone has a greatly disposable income and money to spend on these...esp. since you have a sealed Benny Hall. But hey...I could be wrong.

    Good luck dude!

Finally; everything below is available. Thanks for all your patience and few people have provided some good advice (and thank you). A couple of people offered to help with the pricing. If someone wants to help me with prices, that would definitely be cool; otherwise I price these out over the weekend after reviewing the offers some people have sent me. I also already looked at eBay for a general feel but the prices seem do seem high. I'll hopefully get a range of reasonable prices and re-post my asking price. I know some of you want specific things. Someone wants TOD a couple people want Benaroya. I will do my best to split this up and charge a fair price plus shipping and handling.

Some of you have sent your condolences; however, I might be selling everything but I'll still have the memories from more shows than I can count; not much is worth more than a front row McCready solo or Neil Young and Peter Frampton showing up in Ohio and playing to a crowd of 6,000...Or Neil and Eddie doing a Long Road duo at the Bridge School Benefit. Damn, no I'm getting sentimental. I do need to hurry and get rid of this stuff!
