and I hate thread hijackers. can't you tell this thread is clearly dedicated to ONLY the discussion of the Albany Pre-Party Fundraiser(s)? We had 63 pages of clearly on-topic stuff going until you ruined it. Sheesh guys, thanks a lot. Now it's gonna get locked or worse!It_Wasnt_My_Surface wrote:U R A Crazy Breed wrote:It_Wasnt_My_Surface wrote:haha I've liked them since I was like 8. They're no longer my number one team, once I got old enough to understand what being a home team fan is like. (I have been a celtics fan since as long as I can remember however). I just don't like Brady. He's one of those silent cocky types. Which is fine cause he backs it up. Just rubs me the wrong way.
we finally get a great QB and that's when you jump ship??? :? :? :?
No no no. haha I've been following the Pats since about two years before we won the first super bowl. I know it sounds stupid. But when I was younger I liked teams for their logos. I was attracted to the Jaguar. But as I got older I learned otherwise. Trust me, I hate the fairweather fans just as much as the last guy. I always say if the only people to go to the Celtics playoff games were the fans that have followed them the last ten years through it all that we wouldn't even fill the first 20 rows.

I Love Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder and can't wait to meet all of you on June 9th. (a.k.a. The Lord's Day of Aweseomeness!)

any chance you'd rather not have it at the Red Square?Oxxys wrote:LOVEBOATCAPT0226 wrote:Oxxys wrote:Yes, Lionheart is good joint lots of babes there. I have had many a good times at both Lionheart,Lark Tavern, Cafe Hollywood, Legends, and the Pale Royale in the past few years!!!

I can tell you that with college not in session, EVERYWHERE will be dead on a Mon/Tues night in this craphole. That said, We're only up to 9 people RSVP for an after party. I'm gonna keep banging the drum for Red Square for the rest of this week, and maybe part of next. Then I'll capitulate and we'll bring it to a vote (yah, of the 9 people) to see where the few of us that do want to go out after (or at least the ones that can/will commit, that happen to either be on the pit or on FB) want to go. Just about anyplace will be fine with me after that. The other locations would be better if there is only 9 people. RS = better for big party atmosphere IMHO... not enough people, we go somewhere else.
I think our best bet would be to promote the hell out of whatever we do. I will be inviting a bunch of guys I work with down for the after party wherever it ends up. I would like to get them in for tentative at worst, padding our numbers at least a little bit.0 -
Bump. We were on the 3rd page!0

yeah not so good eh?? think our party is over! lol0

make sure all my homies in the Albany crew post their support in my "petition to get Ed to do Long Nights" thread...we gotta get him to play this song! it's too good to let it go the way of Otherside (never done live)0

I'm still pushing for Acoustic Rearviewmirror. I think the lyrics of that song speak for themselves and it would be great to hear stripped.0

sorry, should have been more clear. That's exactly what we're going to do. I'm shooting for the Red Square... if that doesn't work out, we will all decide on a bar to meet up at for the after party.PearlJamPatriot wrote:Even if we cant go to your friends bar after, isnt there another bar that we can all just go to togehter. In about a week, I will post here with go or no go for red square. We have a list of at least 3 alternatives to pick from but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
Thanks!

c'mon man get with it. it's the AFTER party we're having trouble with. and it's trouble is directly proportional to the asshole organizing it... oops... that's me.Cardinal wrote:I have been outta the thread for a while.....whats up peoples....

anyway, I'm trying to get a cool venue (IMO... oxxy's might disagree a bit), but it requires a minimum of 40 people to RSVP with a "yeah, i'll be there". so far, we have about 10... LOL.
if that falls thru, we're going to go to a different local (still good) but without the restriction. (the bar I'm thinking about is owned by a friend, but he's normally closed on Mon/Tues... cost cutting etc.).
that should bring you up to speed. Do we need to have bulleted digest posts?0 -
I might go out and buy some white pants today to wear to this event.0

Oh hey guys, Sunday is Bob Dylans Birthday. We should buy him an Eddie Ticket!0
