is this odd?

here's the deal:

My ex girlfriend, who I have barely been in contact with for almost a year, started texting me out of the blue a couple weeks ago. I swear we've talked more in the last 2 weeks than we did the rest of the year put together. At first I though nothing of it...then I found out her and her new boyfriend broke up right around the time she suddenly wanted to talk again. Now I'm supposed to go get coffee with her tomorrow and then hang out at her place.

I'm just not really sure what to think.

    well I went.

    haha now I'm confused as hell. She was very huggy and touchy. I've spent the last year trying to make myself forget, or hate her if I couldn't forget her. But I think I failed. She wants to see me again next weekend, so I guess I'll just play it by ear and see what happens. I don't think my friends would like it much if we got back together but I think I'm getting to the point that I really don't give a shit about their opinion on the matter. But at the same time, I don't what don't know what to think.

    she sounds like the type that cannot be alone ... feel free to have fun with it, but, keep your guard up just the same. Not sure how your original relationship ended, but, she might string you along until she's got a new guy to be with.

    that's kind of how I've been feeling about it. I mean neither one of us were perfect but she definitely had her reasons for leaving me, I was a pretty depressing person to be around because I pretty much hated everything in my life except for her. Then she left. It took me a while, but I made some significant changes (quit my job, went back to school full time). We're just a tiny bit more grown up I think.

    This guy is awesome. I remember the "after my next break up" phone call from my EX - it went a little like this. The date was fine, her place was fine, night ended with me telling myself, "Don't ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, everevereverever, do that again dumbass." All she wants is to keep you as a possible...all things end badly, otherwise they wouldn't end!
