    Yeah, as in NOT paid. Paid twice a month--not paid for the 15th yet. Will be tomorrow but most likely not on the 30th. I will be patient because I can afford to be but Damn. Or FUCK for the F-bomb thread ;)

    I do, however, sell "how to stack wood", "how to change lanes successfully", and "interesting facts about the orange" books.

    Are you messing with me or are you serious? How do you break into the business? I've thought about bailing on my law firm job one day and moving to LA to handle contracts or copyright in the porn industry. Might be the only way I could handle being a lawyer long-term.

    damn.......i guess the 'good' thing is you can afford to wait it out? still sucks, but i that certainly makes it a bit more bearable. from your post can i take it your employer WILL, eventually, make up these lost wages? b/c what you're saying is, only getting paid once a month practically, so that's quite a cut! good luck!

    i had my days cut teaching art, looooonnnngggg before this recession. :? there were major cutbacks across the board within the school - but art, music and phys ed....all had their schedules altered. don't mean to 'scare' you at all....all depends on the school/district.....but you ARE absolutely correct. all those 'special' courses, all considered luxury, 'unnecessary'.....are absolutely the first to go, even if your state mandates the program. good luck to you too!

    I'm not too worried, seems like it will be the same ole no OT (which I don't get anyway) and that the company is losing business (which since I'm not a salesman, I can't control), and possibly a forced week off around the 4th of July, which I was already planning to take as part as my vacation.     Well that was fun.... all changes are affecting the plant ( I work in the lab)... new 4- 10 hour days, split shifts (affects lab a little), plant closed during 4th of July week and week between Christmas and New Years... yeah nothing exciting or surprising there.
