Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready told Billboard the other day that the band are working with writer/director Cameron Crowe (ALMOST FAMOUS) on a kind of behind-the-scenes film. I can't tell from what he said if he means it will be about their new shows that they are doing, or their show in South America next year. Here is what he said:

"We're building up to our big 20th anniversary... We're trying to have a little campaign of building rereleases with new mixes and new outtakes up until that time. We're trying to do a movie with Cameron Crowe with all of our existing footage."

If there is anything Cameron Crowe knows, it is music. So this is a no-brainer. It's like hiring Ray Allen to do a documentary about the jump shot. Or Uwe Boll to do one about being a massive douche.

Won't it be about their past shows, using their "existing footage"?
