Humanity at its best (Cool EV story)

A friend of mine happened to bump into EV outside of a bar in AZ last month, and while he is not a PJ fan himself (gasp!), he did know who he was. He asked EV to sign the only item he had in his possession: an MLB baseball he had in his coat pocket, which he had intented to use to get autographs during a spring training game. Without hesitation, he asked EV to sign the ball, which of course, EV obliged.

It wasn't until this past weekend that I saw my friend at a party, to which both us had RSVP'd we'd be attending. As I walked into the party, he told me of his encounter with EV, and pulled the baseball out of his pocket to show me. He then proceeded to hand the ball to me, and said, "Its yours. I know it would mean much more to you than it does to me!" I almost cried. Without a doubt, it was one of nicest gifts anyone has ever given me!!

So now, prominently displayed in a hard plastic baseball display cube centered directly in the middle of my mantle, is my very own EV autographed baseball! The one and only PJ autograph I have, and without a doubt, the coolest PJ memorabilia I own.

    That would be cruel joke, but having seen EV's signature of a lot of items posted to the board, I can tell its the real thing!
