funerals are sad and lame..i dont wanna just get stared at by people that i may have known

i think it should be a joyous occasion

i want my buddies to take me to south africa, throw me on a boogie board and get breached by a great white airjaws style.
that would just be too awesome

any ideas?

    "I want to be casted in bronze…like a statue. You guys can pick the pose I am in…that’s fine. Then placed in the ocean somewhere…like off the keys or something for people to see while scuba diving and snorkeling.

    I wanna have the MMJ song 'I will be there when you die' playing.

    And I want my body buried under a weeping willow tree, so the roots suck me straight up into that tree, using me for nutrients.

    And if this country doesn't allow it I'll find one that does.

    I got to make sure that they play my music at my funeral (including long road, shine a light and something by J.S. Bach). Scatter my ashes at my favorite place in the Swiss mountains.

    I want to be cremated,the guests will enjoy great food,great music and many laughs.When my ashes are gathered I want a floorboard to be lifted at the Barrowlands in Glasgow.It has been the venue of some of the best times of my life at gigs.
    My ashes will be poured in and I will be able to dance and sing everytime there is a gig there,until they tear the place down.
    If the floorboards can't be lifted I want my friends to take me in their pockets and shake me out onto the floor,aka,Shawshank Redemption styleee.

    I wanna be buried - I always have wanted to be buried with my husband.

    I'd like people to celebrate my life but not exactly with a 'party'. I do want people to dress in black and I want loads of white lilies. I've pretty much picked out the songs I want played and the poetry/passages I want read. I'd like song lyrics (again, already chosen) on a simple but classic headstone with lilies carved into it. I'd like to be buried in clothes I'm known for wearing and with photos of my children (should I have them before I pass) and my husband... oh and my kitties as I know i'll always have kitties in my life :mrgreen:

    I'm an organ donor so all of this would happen after my body's done it's bit :mrgreen:

    I used to work in a mortuary/morgue so I've had plenty of opportunity to think about these things!
    Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

    ... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
