PS3 region help!!

I'm trying to get a limited edition game for a birthday present. I bought a copy from a UK company, however the item arrived from Canada (Metal Gear Solid 4).
Now I know the games themselves are region free, however it comes with a limited edition blue ray making of dvd - does anyone know if this particular dvd is region free or only playbale on region 1 PS3s??? Can't find any info and the place I've bought it from say they're not sure. :?

I wish I could help. I do know PS3 games are region-free, so I just assumed Blu-ray movies were too.
Not really sure...0 -
I'm not really sure. The only thing I know about blu-rays and the ps3 is that the US has the same region coding as Japan. So US systems can play Japanese blu-rays.0

! Not for while (May 25th), this is for Chris' birthday - 2 days after mine. Getting him the console too, really hoping the making of DVD is going to be region free. Still looking for confirmation though, otherwise I'll have to send it back!

I couldn't find any info on it either.
They can make blu ray discs without region locking them, but we don't know if they actually did that.
Reviews on Play Asia.com suggest the blu ray is NOT region locked, but none of them come right out and say it.0 -

I know, I spent over 3 hours looking for the info yesterday!! Normally you can find anything on the net :? :?
