Ten Super Deluxe/Amazon - Shipping?

Ok so I received a couple of gift cards from Amazon and i'm thinking of splurging on the super deluxe edition of Ten. For anyone who has pre-ordered a new release from Amazon - are they pretty good at getting the item to you on the release date? Not a big deal, just curious.

    no they aren't. i pre ordered the last ian brown, hank III and spoon albums on amazon. the ian brown took over a month to get to me, but it was also an import. the spoon and III albums were shipped out on the day of release.

    From my experience on Amazon, they will ship it the day before release date unless it says somewhere you will receive it on release date.

    By estimate, I've received 95% of my pre-orders the day of release...4% the Saturday or Monday before release...and 1% after release (usually day or two at most).

    I use Amazon for nearly all of my CD purchases (2 or 3 per month). I'm closer to 50% the day of release, 5% before (Sat/Mon) and 45% after (always by Friday). Probably because I always go for the free shipping. Your location could also be a factor. I'm in PA.

    Ah, maybe swinging for shipping will do the trick.

    I've shopped many times with amazon.ca & amazon.com ! Shipping is pretty fast, and suprising. Plus that FREE Super Saver Shipping deal .. is pretty sweet! :D

    No chance of that now, that was for pre release orders only, cursing I didn't buy it then but I had vetinary bills to pay. :|
