The next installment of Incubus pulling a Pearl Jam

Don't get me wrong here... I love Incubus. I have just felt for a long time that they have made many similar efforts as the PJ guys in the way they release their music. They are also very good to their fans. This next release feels very Lost Dogish... and I'm looking forward to hearing many of these B-Sides that I'm unfamiliar with. We should be seeing an Incubus Super Deluxe Re-Release in the next 7 years or so. Not that their albums need any remastering.
Enjoy!

But many different bands release B-Side albums.
It said "Life is nothing but a dream."
I've spent so many years in question
To find I'd known this all along.
Thanks for the oh so subtle negative response. Appreciate you letting me know about the other bands that do this too. You should look into some Incubus. You'll be glad you did.
This.
their music cannot be compared to pj, apples and oranges. however, both are great with their fans and i believe the way they handle themselves can seem similar. boyd and vedder come off as parallel in their beliefs and lifestyles sometimes.
They are alot more musical and important than they get the credit for.
i agree. i wouldn't call them "numetal" though. it seems like they got that label because of certain bands that came out around the same time. they are all very talented, natural musicians. they're live shows are amazing, they seem like they have a lot of fun. i've been to i think 5 shows. the best was probably the year they did the honda civic tour, in support of morning view about 8 years ago. they were young and you got the impression that they felt on top of the world at the time. lots of natural energy.

There is such a delusional mindset around here in regards to Pearl Jam's influence on the universe. So Linkin Park plays what, 1 show with pearl jam? And in that time, they decide to steal Pearl jam's tendency to do an extended middle jam to a song? So if I were ignorant to music, based on your post, I would be led to believe that no other band in the universe has did an improv in the middle of a song before Pearl Jam did with Daughter?
Also the original poster never responded with what the new Incubus album has to do with Pearl jam.
It wasn't quite doing an improv, it was the whole vocal bit then the crowd sings back the vocal bit and it just sounded exactly like the sorta thing Eddie would do, i havent heard every live show by every other band out there so i presume its just copying Pearl Jam, dont know if Eddie copied those vocal patterns from someone else. And it wasn't 1 show, they played with them a lot in 07.
I guarantee you've heard at least 3-4.
Typo Man: "Thanks kidz, but remembir, stay in skool!"
Actually, Brisk is right. Linkin Park admitted to wanting to do more things in a Pearl Jam way after the shows they did together back in 07'? They essentially wanted to make their shows more interactive with their fans.

I personally think sometime PJ's influence is played down somewhat. Their approach is basically a blueprint for the fan-friendly bands out there to follow. Any of us who has been to see different bands knows the significance of togetherness that comes with a PJ show. The only other large act I can think of that connects with an audience like that today is Bruce. If I was in a band that had a decent to large following, I'd probably at the very least glance over to a band that is still can cause quite a ruckus with its decisions, despite pissing off some of the most powerful entities in this country. This is a band that has been through too many things to list, how can you not learn from them?
...or on drugs...
1. Sick Sad Little World
2. Nowhere Fast
3. Make Yourself
Favorite songs...that's a toughie, I'm a big fan. Probably Make Yourself, Sick Sad Little World, Aqueous Transmission, and probably many more that I can't think of right now.
