So I've started working out (again) and have been pretty good about it. Last night I started getting a backache and today I'm popping advil like crazy. Now, I had planned to go to the gym after work and I don't want to slack (as I admittedly have a tendency to do). So I guess my question is...should I suck it up and go...or take the night off? Will it make it worse? Or actually help stretch the muscles?

    To answer your question....

Suck it up! You're gonna be sore if you just started. Warm up and get a sweat going...if your back still hurts then stop. I can almost gurantee that you just have some sore muscles in your back that aren't used to being assaulted all week. Once you get warmed up that pain will go away.

If anything, just go to the gym and walk on the treadmill. If you make it you're lifestyle then you will stick with it. Make it a part of your day. No excuses

I guess you have to use your judgment ...if it's mild soreness then keep working out but if your are in actual pain..i wouldn't force it.

What type of exercises were you doing? Is the pain muscular or something else? Do you have pain radiating up & down an area in your back or is it localized?
Do you remember Rock & Roll Radio?
