if I jump into a thread slapping everybody on the back saying 'yep, fantastic point, I agree, you're wonderful'

I thought the whole point of places like this was to DISCUSS things... EVEN different points of views. I mean, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong

I'm up for a good debate

so the question is, what's your posting style? To comment on the issue and give your point of view and discuss your point of view if others disagree? Or simply to agree with what's been said before you?

i think i tend to do both...if someone makes a great point, i usually quote them & then add my .02. but sometimes, i do not agree 100% and then i'm off to the races! 8-)

I love a good debate. But I hate when people try to shove (sometimes bizarre) viewpoints and conspiracies down your throat and instead of being open to debate they just cast you aside as brainwashed and beneath them for not agreeing.

And MFC, I thought I was like that too... I like to think that a good debate makes people think and I'm always up for giving advice to people who need help... but it seems some people like to focus on the negatives and I just find that strange :oops:

Binfrog, I'm into conspiracy theories so I'm used to people casting ME aside as brainwashed and beneath others who think I'm stupid for finding conspiracy theories simply more interesting than 'the truth' :oops: so plenty of times I just don't bring it up... unless I'm in the mood to be laughed at

It depends on what's being said. If its already been said, I don't say it again. That being said, if what was said isn't exactly what I would've said, I would be remiss if it wasn't said the right way. Sometimes, it's said the way I would say it, so I agree. You know what I mean?

i like a good auld debate. with the wrong person it gets bogged down in trivial bullshit points tho, so i rarely enter debates. nice to bounce ideas about off people though. when it comes to threads where music is the issue i never debate, just throw my opinion in about whats good and leave it at that

Should of said smile. Off base compared to my base I guess. Only time you annoy me is when you bring nationality into it. Maybe you should start a British or Euro PJ site if we are really so different. You have all the truly great bands and here we are on one of the only great American bands site and I continually see you reminding others that we're Americans. I enjoy all of your posts though and was just kidding. Plus if I was younger, and we were single, and we were closer than 7000 miles apart, you are cute..........
