Eddie wrote the lyrics to "Nothingman" though... One of my favorite songs

Not sure I could pick an album, so right now I'm really enjoying Unemployable. I always like it when lyrics take on the voice of a character really well with an implied narrative (Elderly Woman too, obviously - In fact I always loved the long title of that song (and myself always refer to it as Elderly Woman rather than Small Town) as it adds so much so easily).0

I would have to say Yield, followed super closely by Riot Act. How can you pick just one?0

Vs. and Yield.
2 very different moods.
Vs. is so emotional and strong (lyrically and musically).
Yield is so introspective and pensive."Speak clearly if you speak at all; carve every word before you let it fall"

I think Eddie's best three songs are on Riot Act. It's hard to find any song(s) as strong as Thumbing My Way, I am mine, and Love Boat Captain.
As far as a whole album though I'm going to have to go with Yield, although in all actuality it's a three way tie with Vs. and No Code.
And of course you can't forget Vitalogy. Not For You is a BADASS song. Something about hearing Eddie singing "Fuck YOU!" sends chills down my spine.
Eddie Vedder is musically amazing; poetically he's nothing short of a genius.0 -

You know I agree with the avocado -- mainly because I read (I think Eddie said this himself, maybe in that Rolling Stone cover story?) that the lyrics and melodies were intentionally written to sound like waves rolling over the song's music, and they totally nailed that concept. I'm from Hawaii, and we all love that out here. Everyone loved it when they played Big Wave (GREAT song) when they came here. They played it at both shows, actually. Imagine that song at Aloha Stadium (Hawaii's biggest venue, 50000 people singing) The lyrics on that album all seem perfectly placed, but still have an impact every time you listen. You never seem to get too familiar with the songs; they always sound super fresh and rock your socks off.0

cannot split vitalogy and yield :?wah0

I surprised to not see more Riot Act love...such a beautifully existential album, somewhere in between the darkness of Vitalogy and awesomeness of Yield.0

Ten,
By far is the best album lyrically. That was the most pure album. Do I have to repeat the tracks on that album to prove my point? I just can't put any other of their albums in the same category as ten.
Second Place- No Code
Third Place- Yield
Fourth- Vitology.....Vs.....Pearl Jam.....Binaural.....and I won't even mention the other one.TDR0
