Going to John Edward

I saw him a few years ago in Ct. My friends from work wanted to go and we all got a ticket. It was pretty inexpensive if I recall. I'm a cheapo (to pay for my PJ habit of course) so it wasn't over $45 for sure.
Anyway, it was interesting. People came from all over and they bring stuff from their dead loved ones. Books, pictures and stuffed animals. Thats the sad part. He went to about 6 or 7 people but really focused on one group who had recently lost a young man in a car accident. He was married and his wife and her family and his family was there. He also went to two sisters who had had a threesome with a dearly departed brother in law. That was funny.
All in all it was a little over two hours. He used their story on a 2 part series on his TV show. I went in for total entertainment value, but he is very believable. I always figured once your dead your gone for good but he made me think for a while.Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!0 -

Was the audience held as a group somewhere before the show for ant length of time? The tale I heard was that he leaves the audience in a group togther before the show and put his people in there to listen in on everyone tales. Picks out the best ones and away he goes...........................Still a douche!I can't go the library anymore, everyone STINKS!!0 -
He did a show here a few months ago. I didn't go but I read a review that ripped him to pieces. It said his stuff was very superficial and obvious and just exploited grieving people.
I try to keep an open mind about things like that but I don't think I'd pay $$$ to somebody who rents a hall and puts on a big show."The stars are all connected to the brain."0 -

No holding cell. Just go in and he comes out. I have heard this also and do not know if people go around and listen. I went in right before it started and I wasn't picked so I couldn't tell you if that is true or false!Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!0 -

it's all blurry but here's what i remember
he came to our group because he was getting some crazy
name... like ez me.. ez ma... he was asking this for like a minute
so my friend raises her hand and says "I have an Aunt Esperanza"... and he
says "I'll take it"... he was actually pretty funny too
they handed us all microphones and he said something about them all
coming through together and he didn't know we were family, colleagues,
friends or what but that they all come through together
then I think he started talking about a father figure... and asking who
was Karen.. Caitlin... Cara and my friend Caroline said I'm Caroline... and he asked if
her dad has passed... she said yes
then he says that that man has a female child with him who was ill
he asked the signficanance of the number 8... either august or the 8th of a month
caroline's daughter died on august first
he guessed diabetes but that was wrong
he talked about her having some sort of medical issues
then he said there was something wrong with her bones... like there was a misalignment... which there was
then he talked about her being in a hospital room with an adult in a bed next to her... but not family... and that she gave that adult the strength or comfort in knowing that if she could handle what she was doing... then the adult could handle anything
he then said that she helped many people... and that she knew this and was owning it...
he then said there was a significance to the number 2... like she was
the 2nd of something... we never really fully understood that one at
that point...
he then asked who Danielle was ... which is my wifes pregnant cousin who
is very into mediums as well as her boss was in the audience... he then
thought the baby would be born as a Gemini or twins but that's not what she has been told
he then came over to me specifically saying the guy in the green shirt
and asked me if i lost a male friend when i was very young... i said yes
...
then he asked if he was taken away quickly or i never got a chance to
say good bye...
my friend died of diabetes in grammar school
i remember i never went to the wake or funeral maybe because i was too young or upset...
then i think it ended... and as people started clapping he turned to my friend and said that "your daughter is OK"
sorry for the choppiness of this story... and i know i'm leaving things out... and i'm not doing this to make you believe if you don't... just sharing my story
lets just say i am more of a believer myself today
i totally understand the superficial stuff... and i think my part of the reading could be classified as such... as well as other parts of it
in the beginning i thought the people in the crowd were plants... like setups... but having our own reading changed my perspective
and the line was 2 or 3 wide for over a 1/4 mile... so i doubt they had people listening in
everyone believes what they want...0 -
