Ever call in sick to work when you really aren't?

I've taken one or two mental health days, but only when it's one of those days that it's usually really dead and it won't cause too much of a problem for everyone else.

Calling in sick is a waste in my line of work. My phone rings non-stop regardless of whether it's legit or not. I was once put on speakerphone in a management meeting while home with a stomach flu... Might as well grab a bucket and go sit at my desk.
It's awesome...no one calls in sick so the whole office shares every bug; we all suffer equally :roll:

When I worked for UPS they used to give you shit every time you called in sick. After awhile the guilt went away. With 6 sick days I would use them for two 5 day weekends. They had more sympathy if you called each day and said, day 1 " I'm coming down with something", day 2 "not feeling good at all, ( can't hold food down)", day 3 "feeling better but still very weak, see you Monday!" click (hang up)
