    its a chicago thing.....when we get a significant amount of snow.....you end up shoveling your parking spot out....and then throw some junk on your shoveled spot to save your spot.....its been like that for 100 years...

    anyway.....i put 4 storage bins down to mark my spot..( i was the only person on my entire city street to actually take the time and shovel)

    not only would my asshole neighbors move the bins and steal my spot.....

    after 1 month they got real fucking smart.....and just stole the storage bins.....

    i hate human beings.....hehehehehehehehe

    In Philly, people get shot over parking spaces when it snows. I think the situation just brings out the worst in people.

    By no means a strictly Chicago thing, Its the "law of the jungle" in the neighborhoods of Boston as well. Yet the esteemed Mayor Mumbles Menino has decreed it not kosher, and the supposed rule is that you can only "claim" your spot for 48 hours after a storm. Of course nobody pays attention. However 2 winters ago he decided to make a point and decreed after a certain date the city would collect all the spot savers, generally trash barrels, cones, plastic or fold up chairs. But the residents largely outsmarted Mumbles again by replacing any somewhat valuable space holders with useless garbage that they wanted to be rid of anyway and the city came and hauled peoples' old junk away for them.

    if you fuck with someones shoveled spot.....you deserve what happens to you or your car....

    in other words...if someone flattens your tires....puts sugar in your gas tank....or puts super glue on your keylock(my personal favorite)......you fucking deserve it.....

    my problem is....not one fucking person on my ENTIRE street shoveled out a spot.....not one...

    because they are a bunch of lazy ignorant fucking pieces of shit......

    i havew no idea where a denny's restaurant is, at all...i don't think we have any. i have eaten at a few while on the road tho. i think doing so on a tuesday, or any weekday, is wise....most people have to work, and can't afford to sit around all day and wait for a table. i would think too, they have set breakfast hours? so that should help. however, you bet...i soooo feel for the staff! what a horror of a morning!
