OMG! I never thought there were this many people who liked this show!
It was like a part of my childhood. I think I'm going to have to buy the DVDs and watch them all again.
The one I watched last night (I think?) was called "The One". It was a bout a kid who could read minds, and he was a chess prodigy (not because he was good, but because he knew what his opponents were thinking).
Anyone remember it? It was pretty good."The dude abides. I don't know about you, but I take comfort in that. It's good knowin' he's out there. The Dude. Takin' her easy for all us sinners."0 -

did anyone else loove when they threw in a random comedic ep? like small potatoes, or the guy who could see when people died. actually that one was more bittersweet, but still had some funny lines. or the one about the small town filled with vampires?
as for the second movie...SPOILERS AHEAD, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Here they come....
I didnt like how it was more like an episode of law & order. where was the paranormal stuff?? so a guy's head had to be grafted on another body? ooohhh, i've got chills already! And the whole thing about stem cell research? and the pedophile priest? very timely christ carter, but this is supposed to be about the paranormal! gov conspiracys! hell, i'd even have settled for a cattle mutilation. ps, just loved when dr. scully googled "stem cell research" in order to find out more about it. doctors: they're just like us! and don't even get me started on xibit and the other chick..why were they there? you know what this movie couldv'e used? an appearance by the lone gunmen. oh yeah, they were killed off in the final season. thanks again, writers!!
deep breath.....rant over. sorry guys. :?0 -
yes, most of my fav episodes had the comedic moments..like bad love and small potatoes

any mention of mulders porn collection was always funny too. jose's chung from outer space is one of the best. mulders scream/yelp is one of the funniest moments in all of tv. makes me laugh just thinking about it.

That was the funniest thing I have seen in ages!!!"The dude abides. I don't know about you, but I take comfort in that. It's good knowin' he's out there. The Dude. Takin' her easy for all us sinners."0 -
my wife & i are both big fans of the X-Files. we started buying the season used @ 1/2 Price Books whenever we saw them up for sale. (b/c they cost about $40 @ best buy!) anyway, we have seasons 1-5 and are watching them all the way through. i thought i was a big fan, but there are a lot of episodes that i either didn't see & can't remember watching. it's fun, though. we watch a couple of episodes a week & now we're almost done w/ season 3.
half price books=good times!I LOVE MUSIC.

This was my favorite show for years but it really ran out of steam towards the end. I stopped watching it at all the last season. I just couldn't get into it at all without Mulder. Without the team of the two agents the show just didn't seem to work. It lost a lot of the humor and imagination too.0

I actually went to an xfiles convention once. They had a producer of the show there talking about stuff behind the scenes. Lots of geeks. It was awesome.0

I went to one too. Burbank, CA. I had a friend who knew Doug Hutchison who was in the episodes Squeeze and Tooms. Anyway, we hung out in his hotel room and played poker after the con.
Anyway, Doug was filming Con Air and was going to take us down to the set, but that never materialized.Post edited by Travelar on0 -

I bought seasons 2 and 5 at HMV when they were on sale for $20 bucks, but now they're back up to $50/season.
Great show, especially the first 6 seasons. After that it got kind of contrived and less original.EvenFLOW PsYcHo #29

ok, that Tooms guy was one freaky dude. Almost as freaky as those in-breds that kept their mother under the bed.0
