Thanks for mentioning the article. I just looked it up - should be interesting reading.
I'm looking forwarding to getting more of his albums, but it's a daunting task to look through all his projects and try to pick something out. I'm leaning toward some Palace Music for my next purchase.0 -

Blitzen Trapper - Furr
I liked Blitzen Trapper but for some reason it has not blown me away.. i know a lot of other folks are big fans of the album.
And regarding Blitzen Trapper, I wasn't terribly impressed at first myself, but I think it's a fun, catchy take on rootsy music. It doesn't quite compare with the albums I placed above it, but it's a strong record that grew on me after a few listens.
Going to see them on 2-28. Love their previous album "wild mountain nation", but this one is much better. Loved it!Go Get 'Em Tigers!0 -

You really hate some of those albums on your top 25... kinda weird.0 -
Evil Urges is easily one of the best albums of last year. I love every song it, however, I consider it MMJ's 4th best album. I usually don't like ranking albums but with theirs, it's fairly easy to me, and it'd go like this: #1 - It Still Moves, #2 - Z, a very close #3 - At Dawn, #4 Evil Urges, #5 The Tennessee Fire. Shit, I think I'd have to rank their Chocolate and Ice EP above Evil Urges.
But I like the newness and the energy of Evil Urges, and I'm really happy with it and with what the band is doing. It just doesn't stun me the way the older albums do.
Anyway, I've been busy catching up on music from 2000-2007, so I don't know much about 2008. I'll get to the other 4 albums when I reply to this thread in 2013.0
