You know how crazy the NFL is? If the playoffs had started last week, Dallas would be out. If they started today, Dallas is in.

And next week they'll be out again...:)

Romo has pin point accuracy!...to the other teams corners and safeties :D

have to give Dallas D props- they played great. You have a nice problem on your hands with your RB situation it seems now. Kind of like the Giants.

That Steelers D is incredible too.

Dallas had that one slip-up (literally, Newman stumbled) on that long pass on 3rd and 16 to Santonio Holmes but followed up with the goalline stand.

And then came the dreaded weekly special teams meltdown. The 35 yard punt return turned the whole game around.

Dallas D plays like it did yesterday (without the offsides, etc.) and Romo has a normal game, then the Cowboys beat the Giants next week.

eskin is a huge miami fan (which makes him a fraud in college football coincidentally) and i do remember him liking jimmy johnson. but he wasnt a fan of the team. i was a huge randall cunningfan growing up, i am actually wearing his jersey right now. i was still a fan of his when he was on the cowboys but it didnt mean i was a cowboys fan by any stretch of the imagination.

Not that it really matters, but Bubba is right. I used to listen to 610 24/7 in the late 80's early 90's - actually right until Grunge broke through and then I started listening to PJ and Nirvana all the time. And during the Buddy Ryan/ Kotite era vs. the Jimmy Johnson era - Eskin was a Cowboys fan. He still hangs up on people whenever they mention that on his show.

I vote that this thread should be closed. But for something really funny, go back and read the first post knowing that in the end a 44-6 drubbing by the Philadelphia Eagles was the knock-out punch for the Cowboys and their "easy" road to the Super Bowl.

    Go Eagles!!!
    Rock on!

He is getting to the point where his age and his declining ability no longer make him worth putting up with his attitude.

Is declining ability a catch phrase for "too many dropped balls"?

Yeah, that and no longer being able to get off of jams at the line, inability to separate, etc.

Pacman gone, Tank sure to go. TO can go too.

I would not be all that sad to see T.O. go, if Roy Williams the receiver had shown some kind of spark related to talent this season.

Interesting set of questions in the Dallas Morning News today. I pasted the questions, my answers are in bold.

    I. Were Mike Tomlin and Ken Whisenhunt better head coaching hires in 2007 than Wade Phillips? - No question.

II. If the Arizona Cardinals can make the Super Bowl is there hope that the Texas Rangers can make the World Series? Is that a trick question?

III. Cardinals offensive coordinator Todd Haley, a former Cowboys assistant who did not get along much with T.O. Who would have thought he'd beat T.O to the Super Bowl? I don't think TO will ever play in another Super Bowl, at least not with the Cowboys.

IV. Cardinals defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast, a former Cowboys assistant who was out when Bill Parcells came in. Who would have thought he'd beat Parcells to the Super Bowl? No one.

    V. Is there a Cardinals Football Nation? The bandwagon is parked outside, line forms to the left.

VI. Would a 6th Steelers Super Bowl championship cripple Cowboys fans fragile emotions? Oh, yeah.

VII. Dan Rooney-Mike Tomlin vs. Jerry Jones-Wade Phillips? Rooney-Tomlin any day of the week. An owner that lets football people make football decisions and a coach that motivates and earns the respect of his players. Imagine that!

VIII. Would you rather have Kurt Warner or Tony Romo as your starting quarterback? Romo

IX. Would you rather have Ben Roethlisberger or Tony Romo as your starting quarterback? Ben

    X. Would the Cowboys have won the NFC West and advanced to the Super Bowl if they had been moved there from the NFC East instead of the Cardinals? Division? Yes, but they would have lost to Atlanta or Carolina.
