    Signed.

I don't see how any fan can be okay with any other fan being shut of the discussion.

I seriously cannot see any perk to a 10c members-only board. Not one.

  • I am not sure how I feel about this yet. A couple of things come to mind though...it seems that there has been a lot of support on the boards in the past talking about a Ten Club only show...but, not a Ten Club only board.
Also, a lot of support for Ten Club seating at shows. I think that the band is always trying to show their respect for the longstanding fans (assuming that most of them have memberships). I think that the decision to make the boards "members only" is because of a couple of things...one might be to show respect to the members and the other may be all to obvious..to get more people to join the ten club. I understand both of these. Again, I am not sure how I feel about this. I am just really grateful that my favorite band is still out there and making music. Being able to post on the site is a very minuscule part of the impact that PJ has had on my life.

If I knew where it was I would take you there. There's much more than this

You bring up a very good point. I posted earlier that I agree it should be open for everyone and I stand by that. a lot of others seem to agree. But let's say they said that ticket pre-sales could be open to everyone too. First come, first serve. Then there would be an uprising. Most members agree the pit should be open to everyone, but in the same breath the ticket sales on pj.com should be exclusive to them and other members. Kind of a double-standard if you ask me.

Everyone being able to get 10c tickets diminishes your chance of getting one.

Everyone able to participate in the discussion through the boards enriches everyone and does not detract in any single way I can think of.

i was in no way suggesting that other 10c benifits be open to all...
ticketing and other special sale offers are part of what we pay our fee's for.
but if i was a casual fan who had just been to my first PJ show and i wanted to share my experience with others, the first place i would look is at their site, only to find that i had to pay for the privelege of posting here

Look, my post was simply a "what if?" Obviously ticket sales and pre-sales will and should be 10C only. I was simply saying that the board being restricted to members is the same as every other benefit. More than likely the reasoning is to get more people to join. Hopefully in the near future it will be available for everyone. Maybe this is just a trial for members to tell them how it works and what to fix before everyone is allowed to come back on.

sorry, i miss understanding or missreading on my part
without some kind of explination from the 10c we cannot know there reasoning, and hopefully they let us know soon :)

How about a members only section? I belong to some other sites that have topics that are restricted unless you know someone and can get access. All sorts of freaky stuff goes on in there.. :D

    i like this idea.
