could i pm the mods to delete my account?

i've seen people ask about this before, but i don't know of anyone that has actually gotten their account deleted after asking. how do you go about it? are your posts still viewable after your account is deleted?
if asking the mods isn't the way to go, please let me know how. thanks.

    I'm afraid I don't have a good answer for you, but if you wanted something you wrote removed you could delete the writing in your thread with the edit button.

    I'm not saying you want to delete all 88 or so of your posts, but you could delete a few if you felt they misrepresented you?

    i'm aware of that, yes. that's actually not the reason i'd want to delete my account. i was just curious what also happens to your posts when your account is deleted. thanks, though.

    Based on forums similar to this that I have run, your posts would stay in tact unless specifically deleted by a mod or admin.

    so, if i wanted my account deleted anyway, do i just ask the mods?

    I pm'd Kat and asked for my old account to be deleted...it's gone, along with all of the posts (not 100% sure on this, cause it was over two years ago - but I think your quoted posts stay put).

    i thought i'd kind of get in trouble trying to start a new account when i already have one? i tried doing that before and they asked what was wrong with my current account and i just told them nevermind. but i didn't ask if they would delete my old one so maybe that's it.
    i figured your quoted posts would be there, but wasn't sure about your actual posts. i guess i'll find out for sure later.

    ya, not sure about that...I gave her an explanation in my request, and she had no problem doing it for me.
    I wonder how many people have now read thru your 89 posts trying to figure out why you'd want them deleted :D

    yeah, i figured it really depends on your reasons why you want it deleted.
    it's not this one i want deleted actually lol. i have an old account that i want deleted. i guess i should pm kat!

    btw, did you talk with kat about it after they approved your registration for your new account or when they asked you what was wrong with your old account before approving it? did you pm her from your old or new account?

    She never had to ask what was wrong, I pm'd her from my old account, and gave my explanation in the first message.... I registered the new account after the first was deleted.
