What's the difference between Limewire and Torrents?

    limewire - you download one file from one person -slow

    torrent - download multiple files from multiple people - faster

    that's the basics...oh and limewire is infested with viruses on malware

    a torrent is only slow if there aren't many people sharing.....:)

    The site we're on is called 'Mininova'. What's that?

    I think my partner thought, because it was running slow, we must be on the wrong web address. I don't know how that's possible. ;)

    don't know anything about that site.....if it's slow, look to see how many seeds there are on the torrent you are trying to d/l....if there is only 1 seed your d/l will be slow....:)

    Thanks cutback. I think that's all I really need to know. :)

    I guess it's like Limewire. It depends how many people you are copying from.
