I don't think there is but I'd love to know a way if one exists.0

Sometimes its just because of dust.......you can buy a soft brush to clear the vinyl........there is a way of washing them too but u would have to find the right directions for itAlpine Valley 2000

I have not heard of any way, try some groove glide a spray cleaner, it may help
other than that I think the solution is buy a new one0 -
You can take a look at the vinyl under a good light and see if there is anything stuck to it at the spot where the skip takes place and then try and pick it off. If you can't see anything, then just keep playing the record and hope it works its way out. Other then that you are out of luck if it is a scratch. Good luck with it.You've changed your place in this world!0

They aren't bugs, they are features.... you're own special character on your own personal copy. Unless it's a god awful 1 inch long one in which case there's no turning back, it's new vinyl or skip the track.0

That's one of the main reasons that vinyl isn't sold any longer. It is very sensitive and when it's damaged it's pretty much history."I'd rather be with an animal." "Those that can be trusted can change their mind." "The in between is mine." "If I don't lose control, explore and not explode, a preternatural other plane with the power to maintain." "Yeh this is living." "Life is what you make it."0

but at least when it's damaged it's only one track, as opposed to a CD where damage is fairly random. I've ruined a lot more CD's than I have vinyl. And the vinyl I have damaged is localised to one track. Rock burns on an Alice in chains vinyl album affect only one track, where as chinese food spilt on a Jane's Addiction CD and left to dry affect the whole album.(I'm speaking purely hypothetically of course)0

I do not recommend this but....
I remember as a young kid we would stack penny's on the tone arm to weigh it down more and then the needle would play through some of those skips. However, all that did was wear deeper grooves into the records. But as kids, what did we care?0 -
buy a second copy & put your original up on the wall"ah fuck it get in trouble"

I can't speak for the rest of the Aussies but some of us skips wouldn't be parted from our vinyl!
