I was just looking at who was online and i was wondering whats a google spider?

    I have heard about this before....though have never seen it. Do you see the user name Google Spider along with the rest of our user names at the bottom on the main page?

    I beleive it is the way Google crawls the internet to update it's database. If you ever do a search on Google, a lot of times, if it is something on this board, this board will come up in the search results.

    No its not at the bottom of the page if you go to who's online it mentions google spiders

    Hmmm...I just checked there and didn't see the name Google Spider anywhere???

    Awww yeah....I see it now at the end of that list with all the Guest lists....there are a lot of Google Spiders listed...

    Yeah, I still believe that is a way for Google to catalog the internet for quick search results on their site.
