I use my DV camcorder. I record from my TiVo to the camera to the computer to DVD. Is that what you're asking?

My pleasure. Also, you could buy a DVD recorder. They're not that expensive anymore. I'm you could find some great deals this time of year.

You have a Motorola Dual tuner DVR issued to you from your cable company, right? I have the same one and they (cable companies in the US) disable most of the ports on that box so we cannot transfer anything off of it to our computers.

    Do they have RCA-out ports?

yeah, that's how I have it connected to my tv and whatnot....

No shit huh....can I get RCA input jacks for my computer????

I still don't think that would allow us to transfer video files across to the computer.????

Yeah I believe there are video cards that will do it but there are also external hardware devices made by Dazzle I believe that can accomplish this.

nice thought but it only allows you to transfer live TV not shows that are already recorded on the DVR.
