Hey, hopefully somebody will be able to help me. I'm trying to stream live radio feed of hockey games from: http://www.nhl.com/radio/index.html but it won't work for some reason. I have the newest version of media player, but I can't get the audio to work.... grrrr...... the pop-up window opens and the player skin is there, but it won't play. Anybody help me? I have no idea why this is not working, and it's pissing me off!
Please Please Please somebody give me some advice!! I'm in South Korea and I need to listen to a Flames game!

What game do you want? Flames. Hang on.
Here's the javascript url that came up on right clicking the link. I'm trying ways of tweaking the link:
javascript:var open_child_window= window.open ('http://gameradio.nhl.com/cc/playa.php?url=http://boss.streamos.com/wmedia-live/nhl/9288/20_nhl-calgary_game_audio_050909.asx','mp','height=320,width=400');0 -
eagerly waiting.... so far it only brings up the nhl homepage.0

Hmmm. Sorry, I tried right clicking the file link and copying/pasting it into mplayer2.exe, the default windows media player (rather than Windows Media 10). I tried BSPlayer and Screamer Radio too; I tried selecting parts of the file name rather than the whole thing. But it only works in Windows Media 10 when left clicking on it.
Have you tried using a different browser? Sometimes that seems to do the trick.
I'll keep trying here.0 -
You mean a different browser as in netscape or something? I currently don't have anything except explorer on my computer, where would I go to get netscape or something else?0

Just a thought: are asx files associated with your Windows player by default? (Check ASF in tools > options > file types.)0

Maybe aNiMal is about. He's much more clued up than I am about these things. I'm no techie; just a trial and error man.
Cheers! Good luck!0 -
i doubt firefox would work, as media player is a windows component it probably needs i.e. to stream the game....

Which game are you trying to listen to? I just clicked on one of those links and it poped up the Windows Media Player pop up and played the audio just fine. I too am using Firefox and it still worked.FoxyMopHandleDaddy wrote:Hey, hopefully somebody will be able to help me.
