No, to convert .shn files to .wav files you have to use the MKW converter:

I have never had an issue installing it. What OS are you on? Is it Win XP?

Is this because he's running the old FAT32 instead of NTFS?

Do me a favor ledblind....open 'My computer' and right click on your C: drive and go to 'Properties'. Tell me what it says after 'File system:' It should either be FAT32 or NTFS

That's got to be why the MKW doesn't work....you gotto covert that to NTFS....it's actually easy to do...but some older programs may not work anymore.....
