We went to a carnival today. What is it with carnies (carnival workers) that makes them so creepy? I mean good lord....the things we saw today!

    yeah i don't know..I always thought they were odd.
    These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.

    they seem even more creepy when know no one is at the carnival...I went to one the other night and other than the group i was with...there was only about 15 people there....the carnies looked PISSED

    I try to avoid carnivals and the carnies! There is a huge family in my town, all carnies. Most of the family has been arrested for all sorts of things. And, there are two clown families...also huge. It's Jersey.

    when i was little some kids behind me and my brother were kicking the wall of a funhouse. A carnie ran in and yelled at all of us to leave. he yelled obsenities that my virgin ears could not believe! crazy meth abusing carnies!

    Being a carnie would rule! Think about it. You never have to brush your teeth or shower. There is easy access to drugs, funnel cakes and roach clips with neon blue feathers attached. Free tickets to the demolition derby. An ample supply of kiddie porn at your greasy fingertips. You get to make children puke on the tilt-a-whirl. You'll never be the least educated person in the trailer. Ditching dinner checks and shoplifting are not only no big deal, the drifter lifestyle makes those sort of petty crimes expected. You get to see exciting IGA parking lots and smelly fair grounds in every shitheel burg across the country. Knock a chick up? Big deal! You'll be on to the next town in three days anyway. Man, *rubs hands greedily* as soon as I get off probation, I am soooo joining the carnival.

    It's not judging when based on peoples behavior that CAN be helped. A big difference between them and those who are disabled. Don't even try to compare these two incidences.

    All of the above comments and much more! The worst was a when my 10 yr old and her friend went on a Crazy Mouse roller coaster and the carnie woman yelled at them for getting upset because their seatbelts wouldn't buckle. She shoved the bar down in their laps and said "Ya aint goin nowheres now shat up"! If I wasn't afraid of getting AIDS or hepatitis from the blood spatter...I would punched her in the face!
