I got my wisdom teeth out two days ago and I am already sick of soup, mashed potatoes, apple sauce, and oatmeal. The only thing I'm not sick of are milkshakes! :) so I was wondering what everyone ate and how u handled the pain??

Burgers, pudding, etc. Lots of painkillers. I had an infection on one side of my mouth so the pain lasted an extra two weeks.

my grandfather used to make milkshakes out of meals. I'm talking about a pizza milkshake, a pastrami sandwich milkshake, a meat loaf milkshake ... he just threw them in a blender and had himself a liquid meal.

    try it.

Hey or you could just read long red's post over and over, regurgitating each time while thinking of what he said, eating that recycled mess of matter again and again. Don't know how much sustenance that would provide though...

scrambled eggs, yogurt and pudding. That's about it :( Didn't have any problems at all with the healing process though - no bruising, swelling or bleeding - and no dry sockets!

  • Don't skip your pain meds, yogurt, ice cream, jello, scrambled eggs, soup, oatmeal, vanilla/chocolate puddings, applesauce, etc.

Be thankful you didn't have your tonsils out. My husband had his out on the 21st and he has been eating all soft foods for well over a week and is still not really eating "normal" foods yet. He lost 15lbs in 2 weeks (and he didn't need to).

I have been eating oatmeal, scrambled eggs, also lots of milkshakes and smoothies, yogurt, pudding, egg salad, tuna, soggy rice krispies cereal, tons of haagen dazs, soft cake, mac and cheese and pasta.

I remember the dentist looking and saying..."oh, your wissies are through..." I was like "huh", I'd heard it was meant to be a big deal and I didn't even notice.
    I came, I saw, I concurred.....

I think you would have 3 molars in each quadrant (12 all together). Not definite though. Some people's wisdom teeth come in with no issues - but I've heard of people never getting their wisdom teeth. Either way - they are very lucky!

I ate scrambled eggs, mashed potatos, oatmeal, and soups. I would also eat popsicles, but that was mainly putting the popsicle on the cuts to try to keep the swelling down.
