No fucking way, but I'm not gonna "get into it" with you :D. Suffice to say...Mays, McCovey, Cepeda, Barry and Bobby Bonds, Clark, Mitchell, Reuschel, Beck, Nen, Krukow, Leonard, etc. stack up with anyone. Hell, even Kent and Schmidt were badass............when they were GIANTS!!!! Buwahaha! :D

You actually list Krukow as an all time great?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, you are high.

Kofax, Jackie Robinson, Duke Snider, Wills, Piazza, Hershiser, Don Sutton, Gagne, Garvey, Lopes.

    Krukow....wow, you seriously have problems.

I gotta say......... spoken like a true fan!

    Matt Williams, "asshole"

    Steve Garvey, "saint" :D

I'm trying to be civil, here, but you guys had Mondesi, M. Bradley, Sheffield, Guerrero, etc.

How any Giant fan can call out another team for putting up with assholes when the team sold their soul for Barry Bonds for so long is beyond me.

    What a worthless organization.

  • Hey we did get to sweep the cubs, and we didn't get blanked in this series. it's a step up from our recent past.

I am satisfied...now if only in the off season Torre could learn a little bit MORE about NL pitching and how to best utilize the bullpen.

    not that I am bitter.

Hey, "he started it." :D I just said I was proud of our history... guys like Mays, McCovey, Marichal, Ott, Matthewson, etc.

As far as "assholes".... every, and I mean every, fan/team will put up with them as long as they produce. I'm not "calling you out," really. :p

Next year YOUTH is going to play a huge part in how the Dodgers fare.

I don't think Lowe will be back, and right now I'm not expecting Manny to be, either. Furcal, Kent, and Nomar will probably be gone as well.

Offensively, our success is going to depend upon a bunch of young guys -- Martin, Loney, DeWitt, Kemp, Ethier, etc. If they improve over this year, AND we find someone decent to fill the voids at shortstop and one outfield spot, then we might be okay. Andruw Jones is still a big question mark. If he somehow manages to get back in shape and hit, say, .260 with 30 homers next year, he could help us. However, just thinking about him in the line-up instead of Manny is pretty depressing right now. :(

More significant, however, will be what kind of PITCHING staff we'll have. It's going to be young, that's for sure. How will Billingsley step up to being the #1 starter, and will this year's shelling in the NLCS effect him going forward? Can Kershaw put all of his talent together and consistently show the brilliance we saw in flashes this year? Will James McDonald make the rotation, and if so, will be he as dazzling as he was at the end of this year? Can Broxton be a reliable closer?

So many questions, so many possibilities. April 2009 can't come soon enough!

I'm not real good at math but wouldn't that be a 1000% increase in HR production? :D

    2009 will be interesting....
