Are you thinking of one of those Scandanavian countries?

you must be thinking of the Danish flag(?). :)

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Flag_of_Denmark.svg

that being said.. I've always liked our flag. :ohttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Flag_of_Finland.svg I like the symbolism.. "Blue represents lakes and the sky, and white represents snow and the white nights of the Finnish summer."

also, our state flag has a lion, which I think is pretty neat. :Dhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Flag_of_Finland_(state).svg

other than that, I like the flag of Kenya.
"Don't be faint-hearted, I have a solution! We shall go and commandeer some small craft, then drift at leisure until we happen upon another ideal place for our waterside supper with riparian entertainments."

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

plus it has a lion on it and it also has the word 'rampant' as part of its official name.

    :)

Flanders has a lion too: http://www.azoresweb.com/images/744px-Flag_Belgium_flanders.jpg

Wallonia (another part of Belgium) has a pretty cocky flag: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Flag_of_Wallonia.svg

There's a Russian region (oblast) that has a bear with an axe on its flag too.
    edit: found it: http://flagspot.net/images/r/ru-76.gif

you're only saying that cos you're from Ireland... we have to be honest and the Irish one is boring.

Seen as this bit wasn't covered (I don't think) ... neither of our flags (neither the St George's Cross or the Union flag) are flown over schools or post offices ... in fact compared to the US it is flown in very few places. You can probably go to most towns and villages in this country and you wont see a flag flying anywhere.

We also play our national anthem a lot less than in the US. None of this at the beginning of every sports game at whatever level type stuff.

... and I think that pretty much applies to most of the UK (Northern Ireland is a bit different when it comes to flag flying :o) as well with their individual country flags and the Union flag.

    Unpatriotic bunch we are :p
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?
