    me neither... I fucking HATE umbrellas... problem is that here, rain rarely comes without wind so using an umbrella is like trying to tame a wild horse or something. I like the rain anyway... if it's raining hard I'll put my hood up or something... although sometimes I just like to get soaked.

    As for flip flops in the rain, always reminds me of verona... I was wearing flip flops and of course it PISSED rain... my feet were actually immersed in water for most of the show... it really was disgusting... they were BLACK afterwards :eek:

    without botheing to scroll back thru this thread - has anyone pointed out they are called THONGS?? and we have some very pretty ones in australia - the only thing to wear walking down to the beach, just to keep the sand between your toes going back up the path ;)

    ick.. in an emergency...once had to wade through a cranberry bog in the pouring october rain... in my flip flops.... yuck!!!!! had shit stuck to them and felt like i was walking on sponges

    yep its been mentioned... i once sent a card to someone with two naked women walking on the beach... "See...they didnt notice our thongs..." one lady says to the other... both of them had a "flip flop" stuck in the crack of their ass

    I just wore flip flops in the snow :eek: but only cause I just got a pedicure and didn't want my nails to smudge :o

    and quite dangerous really. slippery feet, slippery flip-flops...and let's face it, flip-flops aren't exactly the *safest* footwear around at all. no protection, not much holding em onto your feet, very easy for trip-ups. during the summer i see soooooo many woment wear them as 'commuter shoes' in NYC. eeeewwwwwwwwwwwww....nasty! i mean, cmon...not much between your feet, and filthy streets! flip-flops are for the beach, grass, indoors.....NOT city streets imho.

    Um...hi! My name is AmentsChick and I'm addicted to flip flops. While, I didn't wear them today, it's definitely my habit to wear them everyday...rain or shine.

    i love 'em too :) just the rain bit weirds me out. and it's true one can slip, i don't need to encourage gravity to take my ass down hahaha
