Brilliant place, isn't it? Seeing as we're talking pubs, this is best in AET, but there have been some incredible bands there, too. Pub rock started there in the 70s, and The Clash, The Stranglers, Madness and Ian Dury all played there. Apparently when U2 played there, only nine people showed, to which Bono said "London is chained in bondage." Hahaha.
Does anyone still go to it, to see bands, or have a beer?

I don't think I've ever heard of it but then, I'm not from London. Sounds cool though!0

Never been but it sounds really cool. I love old London pubs. I wouldn't be seen dead in most of these horrible student places... I am so uncool Me and my friends generally eschew the supposedly trendy places like the Amersham Arms in favour of our favourite, The Marquis of Granby in New Cross, a pretty quiet and scruffy irish place. They don't have music though...
