Huge crash in downhill skiing today

American Scott Macartney turned 30 today and had a birthday he will never remember. He's alive with a severe concussion but apparently no brain damage

    My gosh! It's so terrible to watch him convulsing at the end, just lying there alone! So good to hear he's not worse off from that!

    i don't know but my wife who is a critical care nurse doesn't believe he can live the way he was seizing ...i hope he makes it

    Well, they are keeping him in a coma, which i believe is common in a head trauma like this. Reportedly he was able to move his arms and legs afterwards but was not responding to speech and that surgery is not necessary at this point. Doesn't sound fatal but not too good either, still could be worse judging from the fall. I don't think the helmet is supposed to go off that easily. Let's hope for the best.
