I need to have surgery!!!

Ok, so today I went to the oral surgeon for a consultation since my wisdom tooth has been hurting me like hell and I had to go on antibiotics because of it, so anyways, he tells me that I need to take them out. Since I don't have dental insurance, is also going to cost me some cash, but anyways my question is...should I wait any longer for the surgery? and should I take them all at once or individually?
Any thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks,
Nadja

all at once. Its gonna suck, but get it all over with.
It was one of the most miserable things I've gone through. OF course, the fact that I got extremely drunk and smoked crack the night before probably added to it, so don't do that.bombs, dropping down, please forgive our hometown0 -

I only have to take three out, the forth one never developed! He also said it will be easy since the roots are not fully developed and my two botton one are half way out. I am really going towards taking them all at once, so I will only feel bad one day instead of three."makes much more sense, to live in the present tense"0

If they are impacted your major medical insurance may cover the procedure. I would get them all out at once. I had all 4 done at the same time - 2 were impacted under the gum, 2 under the bone. My major medical covered it - never even had to touch my dental insurance. I had general anesthesia, and honestly it wasn't bad (except that anesthesia makes me nauseous - that was the worst part of the whole thing). I didn't have any pain and hardly any discomfort - no pain pills needed, no swelling or bruising and barely any bleeding at all. I had heard some horror stories so I was nervous - but it was really fine. Just go to a good oral surgeon and follow the aftercare instructions and you should be fine. Good luck! There's a light when my baby's in my arms0

do all of them at the same time, that's how i did mine. it'd be more of a pain in the ass if you had to go multiple times.
mine went real smoothly, had a little swelling but chilling at home a couple of days and pain medication did the trickgood luck!

you're having some teeth pulled out...that's not surgery...
If they start sawing out chunks of bone and rewiring your jaw...maybe
do all three at the same time....at least 2 at the same time anyways...or if you can't stand much of any pain get one at a time.Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

Good luck to you! Just reading this makes me cringe. I'm just glad I never had to go through it. I was born without any wisdom teeth so luckily I never had to have any removed.- Busted down the pretext

I had 3 out at once. I waited an hour after the pulling to take my pain meds and.....whoa! That shit hurt baaaaaad.
I couldnt eat for like 6 days, but the laughing gas they gave me during the thing was bloody great. make sure you get some of that.0 -
get them all out, i know it varies from person to person, but for me it was no big deal whatsoever. Hurt me the day of the surgery and some the day after, but that was it. After that I just had a good time with the rest of the painkillers they gave me, overall not a bad experience"Ah, life is a gate, a way, a path to Paradise anyway, why not live for fun and joy and love or some sort of girl by a fireside, why not go to your desire and LAUGH..."0

aww im so sorry to hear that. i got mine out a couple weeks ago. and u shouldnt wait any longer, trust me. my insurance didnt cover the wisdom teeth extractions either and it is a heafty price. it cost my parents about $3,500. also, you should get them taken out all at once. its honestly not as bad as people say it is as long as u follow all the rules. the worst thing that happened to me when i got my wisdom teeth out is that i got sick of eating soft foods. goodluck!!0 -
Thanks guys for all the imput!!! Now I have to call them to scheduled the procedure :(..."makes much more sense, to live in the present tense"0

ALL AT ONCE!
easiest and in the long run, probably the cheapest way to go.....only go under anesthesia once. it really isn't bad. i had it done errrr.....probably 18 years ago. utterly painless. after the fact, take your meds immediately! the only time i had pain was after the surgery when i was finally getting less foggy and my prescription wasn't ready yet....ouch! however, once the pain meds kicked in again...no problem!Stay with me...
Let's just breathe...

why are they called wisdom teeth? if yours are removed you could replace them with 2 miniature owls.oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.0

In my case I relaced them with baby elephants but I have a big mouth. That should come as a complete surprise to most of you, I'm sure.Idaho's Premier Outdoor Writer

Wait. Chickens have fingers??!!!
I vote for ALL AT ONCE--get it over with and should be cheaper since you are not paying for 2 surgeries.
Good Luck
You will be fine.So I'll just lie down and wait for the dream
